vla1ne
I don't know what the problem people have with limiting cards like big-eye, but I'm fairly sure everybody can at least agree that the elemental dragons need limiting very much, and very soon. the card concept itself is fun to think about, and it would have been pretty awesome to see if there were more ways to counter it, but to the best of my knowledge, the E-dragons are the only deck in existence that gives an 3 abusive effects to pretty much every main power monster. While that alone might not have been a problem if they were actually balanced right, the E-dragons have an effect for essentially every situation, and there are enough cards out nowadays to allow every effect to be abused to it's fullest making this deck the highest candidate for tier 0 right now. at least you could stop the Spellbooks with a simple Horus lv 8. speaking of lv8, this deck is more than likely able to abuse him to his fullest if anybody ever finds a way to incorporate it in... I'll... just be going to duel network for a bit.
evilfusion
Personally, I think the E-Dragons wouldn't be nearly as bad as they are if they didn't all have effects that activate and search cards when banished...and all have effects that Special Summon themselves by banishing Dragons from the hand or Grave. They are practically a self-fueling advantage generator by nomming on each other in addition to being able to spam Rank 7s or OTK. If they didn't replenish resources by using themselves as fodder, they'd be less insane. The chibi dragons don't help, considering they get around the "only use one of these effects per turn" clause on the adults by SSing them from the Deck without using up that dragon's effect. Strider Tigerwolf
...Chance, did you seriously just accept an argument that basically went "Ophion exists! E-Dragons are fine!"? I didn't. They're broke. I accepted the fact that I forgot about Beetle being an option for Evilswarm against them :/ Just because there's an archtype or Deck(s) that can stop/counter/outplay E-Drags, doesn't mean they're any less broken. The ReBeL
I just jumped in but it seems like Big Eye and it being a rank 7 is broken in some way? It's an amazing monster but it in no way shape or form should be banned. At 1 is good with me it's just a 7 that steals a monster. It's not like every deck you pick up can just toss in 2 or more lv7's and this guy. Yea Gorz is a 7 and trag can do level manipulation shit. Same for other ranks. I mean if Big Eye was a 4 or 3 yea it could be ban worthy but it's for an awkward level. Maybe i'm just rambling on I just wanted to comment on this. Btw the deck is insane and I love it. Agro
Btw the deck is insane and I love it. *insert abusive comment here so I don't get warned and post-banned again* OT: Level 7's don't HAVE to be hard to summon and even if they were to make a bunch of Level 7 monsters that could be put in the same deck that aren't hard to summon, as long as they're actually balanced, there's literally no reason to blame them for being able to pull out a Big Eye. The ReBeL
just because the deck is insane and stuff doesn't mean u gotta get mad at me for liking it. i just like first turn ladd sack and that the deck pulls out gaios, sack, eye, and all these synchros as well. it's got amazing options

The deck is stupid, skillless and drains the fun out of the game. Of course, I can hate you for liking it.

Btw the deck is insane and I love it.As stated numerous times beforehand, level 7s being difficult to summon is an old mindset. It has no merit in the current game or how current cards are balanced. For example, what if the E-Drags had 600 ATK and DEF and could only do SS stuff. Would they be broken? No. Would Big Eye spam still be a problem? Yes.The idea of banning herp derp archetype that abuses a certain Xyz/Synchro is pointless, because in less than 2 years there will be another archetype that can do the same thing (probably better).tl;dr Ranks don't balance broken Xyz, number of materials do. evilfusion
E-Dragons' greatest issue, in my eyes, is their ability to spam Level 7s that have the ability to fuel each other and replenish their card advantage at the same time. This makes cards like Big Eye and Drago-Sack infinitely more powerful as they steal monsters and produce fodder/destruction. Coupled with the replenishment E-Dragons do is what makes the Deck ridiculously dumb.
Strider Tigerwolf
LaDD would be wrongly accused of being broken when in fact it's what aids him in getting out is in the first place. E-Dragons ARE "insane" for the reasons mentioned above and they warrant a hit. "So if we hit E-Drags, can we keep big eye?" NO! Why? Because Big Eye warrants a ban by himself in the first place. It's a bad card for the game and severs no purpose except to change the tide of the duel in a skill-less fashion. And Drago-Sak isn't in the same position since he's actually balanced, only facilitated in his own Summon through the help of *herpderp* E-Dragons (and Merlans to some extent). I'd like Konami to hit E-Drags and ban Big Eye...but that won't be happening anytime soon :(
Tenoè
Ban Big Eye and Edrags lose a lot of their mid-late game power, they basically become Drago-SAC.dek. Limiting it is just silly, that's like all those peeps on Pojo saying Tenki to 2 would do anything.
Superdoopertrooper
I can honestly say that out of about 50 games I've played against E-Dragons, I've NEVER had Big Eye summoned on me. It's always just first turn LADD + Draco-Sack. Do you see why hitting Big Eye does literally nothing? NONE of the Rank 7's need to be hit, the things that crap them out for nothing are obviously the problem. Big Eye isn't badly designed in the slightest. Monster Stealing should not be automatically taboo. He requires 2 level 7's and he can't attack if he steals. That's perfectly fine.
Tenoè
Change of Heart sure couldn't attack after stealing, or attack at all, not even be a 2600 wall. I think we can all agree Change of Heart is bad card design. So why is this card not? It doesn't matter who can churn this out with ease, because if no such thing existed then Big Eye would be crap. If such a thing does exist, which it does right now, he's blatantly broken. So why should he even exist in the first place? If you were really that determined to make it unplayable, then he's a pointless card, frankly. Might as well axe it and release one of the chains on card design. Also, perhaps you only saw SAC and LaDD because the game didn't last long enough for Big Eye to be dropped?
