3 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to declare 1 card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap); that type of card (if Spell or Trap) cannot be activated, or (if Monster) cannot activate its effects, until the end of your opponent's next turn.

 

That awkward moment when you drop two of these in 2 turns.

In my Heraldics, when I have the chance to make a second one 1 turn later, I usually just use 2 of the new potential materials to make Zenmaister. Flipping down Shock Master and Flip Summoning it, so it can activate twice that turn. Heraldics will give back it's materials anyways, and those materials will include at least 1 searcher. It's all good......

 

I mostly feel like I'm cheating when I play it.

I feel dirty. Need to go purify my soul.

It's really awful design.

The impact on the meta has been a bit shocking, in my opinion, but I think it's a perfectly good card.  Great for win moar.

OP: Good card, takes care of anything, but everything can also use it (well anything that features Level 4s, and really what doesn't?) so it's one thing that counter the Meta. Now we just need another.

Tbh, needs to be at least limited, just for balance-sake. Mostly to limit how much people could re-use it.

Overall, its a good luck that helps slow the opponent down after you've already swarmed the field, though in the top tier it sees less play (not that it isn't run, but that the duel usually doesn't get to the point where you'd summon it, or you don't get the chance to).

You're probably right, it's not broken enough to be banned but going for 2 of them is ridiculous. But really Shock Master isn't that huge a problem, or shouldn't be, it's just the fact that you can make it so easily with Wind-Ups/Ultimate Offering.

a generic way to shut down any game mechanic of your choice for 3 turns is, in fact, banworthy.
