Decoy Dragon: Discussion

Please learn to read. Of course no one would!

The probably of someone being able to remember each and every card placed in the graveyard is very slim. You can pull out a surprise.

You seem to think someone would.

Frankly' date=' i'm a little surprised. Everyone is bashing on it as a bad card. I see some good potential there.[/quote']

The card is terrible.

The probably of someone being able to remember each and every card placed in the graveyard is very slim. You can pull out a surprise.

Except no one has to remember anything. At any point your opponent can ask to look at your graveyard.

Not only that, because it's effect can only be activated if it's attacked, it forces an opponent to waste a Spell or Trap card to get rid of it unless they want to battle a powerful Dragon monster. And if anyone knows anything about Dragon monsters, they tend to have to highest Attack Rating of them all.

Seriously, Reaper and Marshmallon are much better choices then this, and don't require a theme deck.

So, honestly, I don't see what's so bad about it.

Enough with the insults already, jeez! What's with that? I make a comment and everyone begins to say i'm a bad player.

I see potential where people do not, what is so bad about that?

I think if used correctly, this card can be useful in it's own way.

That's my opinion, take it or leave it, your choice.

How does that quote suggest that? I misspelled and meant "probability"

Do you even know what you are saying now? You clearly thought that someone couldn't look through the Graveyard to see if there was a Dragon or not, and therefor could pull off a Decoy's effect.

And when you post falsehoods and obvious facts and think that you can prove a point, then you deserve to be set straight. It's up to you whether you think you are being insulted or not.

Anybody who attacks a face-up Decoy Dragon is an idiot. It's like activating Lightning Vortex when your opponent has Horus LV8 on the field.

*sigh* And anyone who thinks that someone is stupid enough to attack a monster like that is even more of an idiot.

Everyone takes it like it's gonna be Decoy Dragon and the attacking monster alone on the field. Hello? Trap Cards anybody? Maybe Spells? Equip something like Raregold Armor to it. Then they'll have to make an attack on it' date=' or even Shift.

Durr.

Combos people, combos. Every card has a point. Some are just harder to discover then others.

*sigh* There is never a good reason to insult a person. The things being said can be said with being insulting.

But as I said above, you seem to think that a person would battle a Decoy Dragon against the attacking monster alone. Wrong! Use a combo, it could be a good card. And you tell me to learn how to play good, any good duelist would know to use a combo with a card like that.

As long as you control the monster equipped with this card, your opponent cannot attack other monsters other than the equipped monster.

Raregold Armor doesn't force the opponent to attack. It just makes it so they can't select another target for an attack.

And lol@Shift. Are you actually suggesting that you waste deck space on a card that can only feasibly work with 1 card?

Do you intentionally only look at what you see? Or is it just that you cannot see things on a bigger scale?

Of course you wouldn't add one card into your deck to help only one card. If you cannot work Decoy Dragon and Shift into a deck that flows, then there's no point in putting it in, again, I state what I said before, "This card could be useful if used correctly

As for Raregold Armor, yes I knew that, therefore forcing your opponent to not attack. It's either attack Decoy Dragon, or not at all.

Spirit Barrier + Astral Barrier works better, since it gives the opponent fewer options and leaves everything else the same. Oh, and did I mention that Spirit Barrier + Astral Barrier sucks?

So you are admitting that Shift was a bad idea? Then why suggest it at all? And Raregold Armor is basically the same deal, only this time it can be searched with Arms Hole, so it is a smidge bit faster. All Raregold Armor would do would be stalling. Therefor Decoy is just a worse version of Spirit Reaper/Marshmallon.

If you were creating a deck that did not flow with Decoy Dragon, and Shift, then yes, it is bad, but if you create one that does flow, then it would work, did I not already say that?

Shift and Raregold Armor were the only two I could think of off the top of my head, i'm not gonna waste time thinking of 100 combos to use with this card.

I am not saying it is the greatest card ever, or that it is better then this one or that, only that it's ability can be useful in the proper situation.

Except that there is NO deck with Decoy and Shift that flows, because they both suck. And its effect is not useful in any situation where Marshmallon or Spirit Reaper would not work better.

And since you are too lazy to find anything else, the discussion is over between us. I win.

Uh, yea, what did you win? A pointless discussion that will not get you anywhere in life.

Does it look like I really care?

And you're only argument is that there is no deck because they suck? Well, have you ever tried to make a deck like that? I doubt it.

And for the record, your last post was very childish.

Thank you and good day to you.

lol@thinking that anything said on this forum has any pertinence in real life anyway. And of course you cared in some way, or you wouldn't have started the discussion in the first place.

Can you counter that there is a deck that can work? Because if you can make one, you are a much better player than I can ever hope to be.

I again lol@the last bit of your post. Don't start a discussion you aren't fully prepared to finish.

Protip: Trying to downplay your own mistakes after you have been proven wrong doesn't make you look good.

Also, I've never tried to make a Larvae Moth OTK deck. That doesn't mean I can't comment on the effectiveness of Larvae Moth OTK.

You're the one that was obviously concerned who was the winner.

And if I remember correctly, you're the one that created the thread. I merely commented.

I don't care enough to try. I have better things to do with my life.

Yea, tell me which point I ran off?

@Crab Helmet

You can comment on it, but you cannot be 100% sure of your comment. If you've never tried something, then how do you know it's impossible?

Hey, guys, I've never tried drinking seven gallons of liquid cyanide before in an attempt to improve my health. Trying to do something like that may sound completely idiotic to anyone with half a brain, but since I haven't tried it, I can't comment on it!

*claps* Congratulations! You've succeeded in blowing something out of proportion and making yourself sound ridiculous. Hey, did you all know apparently there's a connection between drinking cyanide and making a deck? Amazing.

Since you're apparently unable to extrapolate, I'll spell it out for you:

You do not need to do something in order to predict the results if you possess a brain.

Of course I've been wrong. Multiple times, in fact. But I admitted to my wrongness right away, instead of stupidly trying to continue the argument.
