Flip Whip Switch Hitter

lv 10 Dark

Fiend/Effect

This card cannot be special summoned. You can set this card without a tribute by sending to 2 cards in your hand to the graveyard. Flip: Send every other card on the field to the graveyard; This card gains 300 ATK for each card sent this way but this card cannot declare an attack if this card was flipped face up during your turn, your opponent cannot activate card effects in response to this cards effect, you can only use this effect of "Flip Whip Switch Hitter" once per duel.
ATK/0 DEF/2500

There are a few things to address here.

First, from a design standpoint, "once per Duel" is a very bad way to balance a card. If you consider it's effect to be too good for it to be re-usable through extra copies or recycling it, odds are that it'd be a better plan to nerf it instead.

Second, "send to the Graveyard" and "your opponent cannot respond" are not, how do I say it? You should try to avoid them. Yes it makes a card more powerful, but the fun of a game is to see how your opponent will respond and what cool plays a a player does against another, and stuff that you are preventing from happening because anti "send to the Graveyard" effects do not exist, and "opponent cannot respond" just cuts down possibilities.

I am not against the Egyptian Gods having it because of their flavor as the first dieties of the game, but that's more of a biased exception than anything. Night Beam is not just slower and more skill-less than MST, but it's also bad design because of this reason I'm talking about. Super Poly.... I don't know about super poly....

Third. The card is rather slow, will take up much advantage, and most likely will have a whooping ATK of 1200 average. On top of not being able to attack that turn.

My intent is not to be harsh at all, just trying to give constructive critisism.

Your card is slow, restricted, has an overpowered effect that might probably still not be worth using, and promotes not having interaction responding to it.

I'm not passing overall grades or anything like that here. Take what you find useful from here.
