Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Rooster

BrotherhoodoftheFireFistRooster-JOTL-EN-

When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Fire Fist" monster: You can add 1 "Fire Fist" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Rooster" once per turn. Once per turn: You can send 1 face-up "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card you control to the Graveyard; Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card directly from your Deck.

Well, 3-Axis Fire Fists will become a thing once this guy hits the TCG in JOTL in August, and I'm sure some of you are happy that this will finally come to TCG, whilst others will think the opposite.

If it were reversed in terms of release the broken card would actually be Spirit interestingly enough.

No it wouldn't.

This would still be the problem. Spirit would enable it, but it wouldn't be the issue anymore than Wind-Up Shark or Wind-up Rat are responsible for Zenmaity and Magician, respectively.

Bear-control Decks start strong, recover easily and nuke cards with flexibility, but don't have much speed.

Level 8 Synchro Fire Fists have solid defense and strong plays, but are rather inflexible and don't gain much advantage.

What Chicken Chowder lacks in starting power and flexibility it makes up for in explosive +3 plays off no field and some of the most unfair OTKs around.

I dunno, I can't say I agree with that. It'd be another example of new card breaking an older one (cause Rooster would have been out and relatively benign cause the only way to really use it would be with Dragon and Horse Prince

That doesn't change that it's a horribly sloping card design that would clearly be the problem. At worst, it'd be a once per turn exchange for a Formation you have with the added bonus of searching for card from the deck if Dragon/Horse Princed.

That's like saying Hieratics/Chaos Dragons are the problem with REDRUM.

The cards at fault do not change with releases and the order of release.

Cards that give other free cards tend to be the problems with the Decks they are in (Judgment, Super Rejuvenation, Dragoons) because they don't require interaction with your opponent.

That being said, is it better to end with Rooster on the field next to Horse Prince and Bear, or just Horse and Bear with a free Formation from Leopard? That depends on your opponent's LP.

Aww yeah!  So glad I'm switching to 3-Axis now.

Macro Rabbit was fun, but I got a feeling that Rabbit's gonna get dropped to 1 in September.  3-Axis is the deck I chose to go with, since all I need is Bears and this.

Excellent news, Konami.  You made my day.
