Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; place 1 String Counter on each face-up monster on the field, except this card. If you do, during your opponent's next End Phase: Destroy the monsters with String Counters, and if you do, inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed.

 

I like how Konami is conveniently avoiding a Quasar reprint for Europe for as long as they can, and so this gets the last spot in the Blaster Tin. (Well for Number hunters, better late than never).

Not really good outside of Puppet.dek. Still, it's a quite nice reprint for tins.

Only reason why this is good in Puppet Deck is because this is literally the only beatstick that they can consistently summon, and that's very sad :/

 

Very slow and not worth it otherwise.

He can be Junk Puppeted, which is pretty much hilarious.

Would be better if you could activate its effect without other monsters on the field. As-is, it's a necessity in poopets because Nightmare and Necro Doll can't make Fat Dragon.

YES! I knew one of the Gimmick Puppet Numbers would get reprinted!

 

The thing costs like $15 for the first print. Now I'll be able to get it for cheaper. I only want it because it's a Number. It's outclassed by almost all the other Rank 8s, but still good in Puppets because it's a Puppet.

Its ufortunate that this and Destiny Leo are crap, and that Giant Killer's attack is so low. It needed a good nerf though. The anime version was kind of broke if I remember right.

It was and wasn't at the same time. The main difference is that monsters destroyed by its effect dealt full burn damage. It was still String Counter related and waited until the next turn.

 

In fact, that's what makes Number 40 so bad. It's too delayed to do so little. The anime version was a genuine threat, but that's because its 3000 ATK and full burn is absurd with 4000 LP Duels. Although, each time it was used, it easily could have been set to deal only 500 instead of full burn, and not change a thing.
