:^)
If you control "Necrovalley": Both players discard any monsters in their hands. Was Semi-Limited now Limited with Sept. Banlist. Do you think this was a necessary change? EDIT: If this belongs in TCG Banlist and Theory please feel free to move it.
Zauls
It is a move in the right direction, just not far enough. Sure, the deck isn't too bad in itself, but Royal Tribute is a royal pain in the arse.
:^)
It is a move in the right direction, just not far enough. Sure, the deck isn't too bad in itself, but Royal Tribute is a royal pain in the arse. I can see where you're coming from, but I think 1 would be as far as they take it, because Royal Tribute is usually a big factor between winning and losing with Gravekeeper's
Sora1499
Terrible design. Punishes conservative play, rewards overextending, and attacks the hand.
玄魔の王
This going to 1 is probably so Bujin aren't utterly destroyed by thata matchup. Killing al the hand-traps while also locking the Grave-Spells is deadly. That said, it is massively unfair as-is.
Aerion Brightflame
The fact this attacks resource conservation on a mass scale is what's so bad about it. If it were only a single discard it would be much more forgivable, because hand control should always be a thing, just not on a mass scale without a huge cost involved in it
Dementuo
What are you guys talking about? It's totally fair for me to set most of my hand, summon whatever monster, and then drop most of my opponent's hand from one card while also getting to see what they have left. evilfusion
This card only really became problematic when Gravekeepers actually became a Deck. I think it was ignored before then, because of the mutual risk and lack of SSing. Then people realized you could run more S/Ts and lose nearly nothing. The Warden
I thought it was because of Stele; since the threat of losing monsters pretty much goes when you have the ability to get two of them back.
Dog King
This probably got a hit cuz of Heavy at 0, if it wasnt for that it probably wouldnt of had the hit.
Sora1499
This probably got a hit cuz of Heavy at 0, if it wasnt for that it probably wouldnt of had the hit. As has already been mentioned, Bujins are a deck that Konami is trying to push. Necrovalley already kills Quilin and Hetsu, the last thing the Bujin vs Gravekeepers match-up would need is a way to hit Habakiri. So while heavy being banned was certainly a main factor, it wasn't the only one, and I wouldn't have been surprised if this had gotten hit and heavy had stayed anyways. Besides, I'm not complaining. This card is god fucking awful.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
This probably got a hit cuz of Heavy at 0, if it wasnt for that it probably wouldnt of had the hit. And not because it's piss poor design.
Sora1499
And not because it's piss poor design. Let's be realistic here. Konami only cares about card design when it's economic to do so.
Dog King
And not because it's piss poor design. then the banlist would have weell more cards on the list for that reason
vla1ne
The card kills hand recovery. gravekeepers are good enough without this thing. it just makes the deck worse when you can pop a field fith that 1600 one, and then kill cards in hand with this thing. I'm willing to bet one day somebody will come up with a deck that abuses this thing alongside the virus cards, if somebody hasn't already.
Althemia
Let's be realistic here. Konami only cares about card design when it's economic to do so. That argument holds so much ground when competitive level players designed the new TCG list and they put Spirit to 1. It went to 1 because Gravekeepers would be too powerful with no Heavy. They're already really strong against a good amount of stuff, god forbid they actually have 2 Tribute.

Rawkobo
Admittedly a necessary hit, but to be honest, all anyone really has to do at this point is run card draw and control options in GKs and they can do things in this format. Board Mind Crush until we know for sure what people are playing, then bam. Rape the hand anew. Bad design for a card, but let's be honest. At 1, they have to open with it to really be a problem. ihop
Should have been banned in the banlist after Recruiter came out. Gravekeepers are not really a broken deck but this card is just silly and can really easily win games on its own.
Shadows92
Truly is a terrible card....unless I just so happen to be playing Dark Worlds while holding at least 3 brown cards.....
evilfusion
Truly is a terrible card....unless I just so happen to be playing Dark Worlds while holding at least 3 brown cards..... Ah, that hilarious game when I was running Dark Worlds on DN when GKs were actually a high level Deck. Opponent uses Tribute on his first turn. I reveal 4 Dark World cards and he scoops. vla1ne
one day lol you could of already ran this, eev with malefic and ddv with gravekeepers in a deck lol yep... forgot about the malefic stardust. the card (tribute) is too powerful, unless you happen to be a darkworld/ fabled player, then it's just an unexpected assist. Bull3tM0nk3y
It's kinda OP, and really good for Dark Worlds. If anyone still plays those.

They might be big this format with less Dprisons,Macros, Dfissures, and BTHs to bog them down.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
They lost all of their power cards, though, since EEV dropped. Remember when Chris was raging because of it?
