Bujintei Tsukuyomi
Rank 4 LIGHT Beast-Warrior-Type Xyz Effect Monster
ATK 1800
DEF 2300
2 Level 4 LIGHT Monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material; send (discard?) your entire hand to the Graveyard, then draw 2 cards. When this card leaves the field due to an opponent’s card effect, if had Xyz Material attached: Special Summon 1 Beast-Warrior-Type “Bujin” monster from your Graveyard. You can only control 1 “Bujintei Tsukuyomi”.

Well, it's actually a Ragin for Hunders and Constellar. Not really sure that Bujin want it though, kind of seems lackluster but they'll probably play it just because it's an option. Discuss.

It cant summon itself right?

And it's pretty neat.

Since this is just the preliminary text, I'm sure it'll have a "One OTHER beast-warrior-type Bujin" slapped onto it, just like how Arasuda was changed from "When a card is banished" to "If a card is banished" once we got the image for it.

not really, especially since arasuda is defensive too

Have you even played the deck? The main way you clear your opponent's field outside of Quilin/Centipede is with Crane, since it'll kill the other monster in battle. Even while testing Arasuda, I only ever left it in Defense when I didn't have Crane and knew I wouldn't get to it that turn. Otherwise there's just no point. That's why it'd make sense for us to get a Bujingi that increases DEF- It'd give a valid reason to play defensively, rather than the natural Offensive/Conservative playstyle of Bujins currently.

I have a feeling Dark Worlds will start running LIGHT monsters to try to summon this card. Well, the "special" players will.

It'd be an awful idea to run anything in Dark Worlds just to make this.

yes ive played the deck, dont patronize me. im just saying that, hmm, maybe its not weird for an offensive archetype to have defensive cards for no particular reason? konami especially aint exactly got a perfect record with making archetypes 100% coherent. so settle down.

Actually, it's very strange. Bujins are an archetype that Konami clearly wants to be good, hence all the really good support they've been giving it. It is weird when they give that archetype support that goes against the natural playstyle of the deck, ie defensive cards in a deck that doesn't need defense. If they continue the trend as they did with Mikazuchi (Focusing more on the cards from the hand, S/T destruction/searching) and made a Bujingi for increasing DEF, then I would see more of a reasoning behind this. But for right now, having higher DEF and lower ATK is a bad thing for it.

After testing, I'd almost call it better than Ragin under ideal and even circumstances.

While it's not going to outright draw 2 cards, it is reusable, which occurs more than you might expect, and turns a dead draw/card you want in grave into Pot of Greed. It's also BFFs with Lance, because of it being more defensive than not.

Just an absolutely amazing card which Constellar and Hunders really, really appreciate existing.
