Why the hell Gimmick Puppets got mostly gimmicky cards in the anime? Though, this is neat for summoning a Destiny Leo for rank-up purposes.

Never mind, it negates effects. Golem swap and Ranking up, basically, but the cost is pretty hefty even if generic.

Personally, I wouldn't mind it if they printed this as-is.
I mean, it's already pretty gimmicky, and the monster you Summon is basically rendered useless(Outside from being a beatstick, of course).
Plus, the fact your Summoning it directly from the Extra means you can't revive it later. Not that it's any major significance or anything.

Anyway, card isn't that bad because it requires dedication, and is really only useful in RUM decks.

Personally, I wouldn't mind it if they printed this as-is.

I think this card needs a nerf. Special Summoning a card that could instantly overlay into another monster, no real cost? I mean, cards could overlay into C39, S39, Gaia Dragon, or Combo with a Rank-Up-Magic for a instant beatstick. So yeah, I think it needs a nerf. Not too much though, just something like "You can not use the monster Special Summoned as an Xyz Material the turn it is Summoned." You know, like the guy that revives Synchron Tuners (not the good one, Synchron Explorer, the crummy one). So yeah.

Ironically you could also use this to Summon Silent Honors Dark Knight, and it could proceed to attach monsters to itself.
And, you know, Chaos Xyzs are a thing, and they also have effects that do things without needing Xyz Materials.
So plot wise, yes, it only negates effects just to prevent a cheap win.
Realistically, though, it would still need it.

I guess if you wanted to play safe you would add some drawback to it.
But still, it's obscure.

Things to note:

 

- Any 3 Xyz monsters. They have no restriction beyond being Xyz.

- Summon Xyz of ANY Rank and ignoring the Summon Conditions.

- Xyz can still attack.

 

Obviously, with the effect negated, it's best used for Rank-Up Decks. But no restriction on attacking means you can run some sort of Xyz spam Deck, then drop something like Neo Galaxy-Eyes out of nowhere as a 4500 beater.

 

Heraldic Beasts might like it to some degree, but they prefer their options to stay intact, and if they're a Rank-Up variety, the Extra Deck is full enough as it is.

But if its an Xyz Spam deck, wouldn't you have won the duel by the time you get to drop this?

You could always make Utopia then instantly Overlay that for a Ray mid-duel. Would be useless, yea, but you just fulfilled 2/3 of this card's cost.
Then again.... Heh... Extra Deck dedication....

And it doesn't require that much setup. I know people who can pull 3 Xyz out in no time. Getting them in the Graveyard shouldn't take too long.

It's the miracle fusion of xyz heavy decks. You should have won already with that many xyz, though, as already stated.
