Sander
Discuss the most important buzzfeed article ever written. Take this thread, and shove it down your opinionated throat. These are not "reasons", but only opinions. This thread will not generate any form of discussion, because the sports that are compared have totally different elements to themselves, and thus, the events will be different as well. Stupid thread is stupid and you should feel like an idiot for even posting anything related to a stupid article like that.

Kyng's Old Account
I think it would Woody Allen that said: "I marvel at the level of a mind that watches wrestling." Not to defend wrestling, but rather to point out that absurdity of a post, you're quoting makes a pretty gross generalisation there, and is completely ignoring a significant audience of their shows. It's not comparing pro wrestling and football as sports, it's (jokingly, if the Robocop reference from WCW wasn't clear enough) comparing Monday Night Raw and Monday Night Football as shows. EDIT: And their communities.

Why? I actually find myself switching through channels during commercials, because of the all the decent things on.

I actually find myself switching through channels during commercials, because of the all the decent things on. The original point of the thread however has nothing to do with the discussion about action/entertainment that is available at any day of the week. It was solely created to "Discuss the most important buzzfeed article ever written." The article is pointless and does not generate any meaningful discussion, given that it only caters forwards to RAW fans. Also, as I stated before the sports are different, and thus, shows are different, with different entertainment and action levels.

Anyway, I find myself enjoying football more, but I don't actually watch either much. The people in my family watch football a lot though. And my brother used to watch wrestling all the time. I just never could get that into them. I do enjoy the football tactics and statistics disscusion stuff though. Which doesn't happen with wrestling. Cin
This is an opinionated topic. Just I suppose it could be used to promote discussion, but given the topic you've actually give us rather than explaining why you prefer one sport of over another is silly. I'd change the OP for people to do just that. Personally I prefer Formula 1 over both, matter of opinion (although because I work every Sunday I miss more or less every race). I find Football boring (I know you're refering to the American Football, which is not the same as Football/Soccer, but I've never seen it) and RAW (the few times I get to see it) is blegh and doesn't strike interest. The first Football/Soccer I just find too repetitive while I do like when the local team wins.. And Wrestling (I know there's different companies/federations etc), there's too much 'cheating' for me to get round. Formula 1 is something I've grown up watching or listening to on radio. I know people have said Vettel and Red Bull's dominance has made it boring, it's just waiting for Ferrari and Mercedes to get their cars sorted. (I mention those because they're closest). Every so many years you will get a team that dominates then the others catch up and they fade. (As McLaren, and WIlliams have recently) I enjoy seeing the overtaking more than most elements, because you cannot guarantee you'll get past. Fusion X. Denver
Oddly enough, Raw and Football are the two sports I like watching the most, third being baseball. I think the game of football itself can get more engaging than anything else, depending on the teams playing (yeah Pats). But Raw often provides consistent entertainment where you can always guarantee something nuts will happen. Plus there's a very distinct and strong community with Raw; it's great to join in with them live. Though I am a casual follower for both, don't actually watch much TV. Just Crouton
Monday Night sucks for football, anyway. It's always the weekends that's big for football. _____ I never understood the significance of football on Monday nights when they have it on Sundays when everyone is home. American Football is an actual sport. Wrestling is not. _____ [citation needed] Personally I prefer Formula 1 over both, matter of opinion (although because I work every Sunday I miss more or less every race). And Wrestling (I know there's different companies/federations etc), there's too much 'cheating' for me to get round. ______ Yeah. When they do it over and over for the same storyline (during the first several weeks of the revived ECW, they had a title match as the main event, and they always ended with a DQ for some form of cheating,) it gets boring. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
[citation needed] No, not really needed. Wrestling like Monday Night Raw. Is not a sport. It is a TV show. They are actors. Sure, they do actual stunts, and are athletes I won't deny that, but it isn't a sport.
