While I don't believe Emeral is a card that should take ultimate precedence in decks than R4, other than a select few that make especially good use of either of it's effects, I've come to find it a very, very strong card, despite the ironically low stats.

 

It's honestly a very powerful follow up to cards like Bujintei Tsukuyomi, King of the Feral Imps, or any other advantage generating card you can make. Or even cards like Starliege Paladynamo, Noblswarm Belzebuth, or Diamond Dire Wolf, who can quickly detach their materials while harming the opponent. And that's not counting how late in the game you make it.

 

While most of this is pretty much common ense, the main point is that it's a card I feel gets a bit overlooked. As I said, it's not something you'd throw in ablutely anything, like Noble Knights for example since Rabbit's pretty dead, but in decks that have means of advantage generation in the forms of King, Tsukuyomi, or whatever else, it's an easy way to keep making plays and make more advantage. Considering that Avarice is at 1, it's even better for its niche as there's nothing that can do it better.

 

Dichotomy doesn't count.

 

And I barely even touched on the Normal SSing effect, just on the generic mini-avarice.

The mini avarice is flat-out amazing.
The fact it can revive so many damn monsters is also flat-out amazing.
Overall every bit of this card is fantastic.

Sadly for this guy, Rank 4 is getting better and better options lately. I do really miss Avarice, so I try to play it whenever I can.

I remember when this guy first came out and everyone thought he was a staple. How times have changed. The HA07 cards, from my view, made it to the TCG way too late and missed out on a lot of opportunties because of that.

I like using this guy in Gem-Knights to bring back Zirconia for some beat downs or a specific Gem-Knight for fusing purposes.

If you can use the second effect or continue a loop with the first effect, run it, but otherwise you're undoing your own progress.

He just doesn't seem all that good anymore. Noble Knights, if you are crazy. 
A deck that has no other way to draw cards, maybe. And to say I considered buying this guy at a certain point. Although, him being a Rock is sure to play into some RUM sooner or later.

 

Avarice being banned almost makes this guy look like half a crap, but he is just too weak in ATK. Maybe in E HEROs?
Why do I think any form of dragons can go for Level 4? I was about to say some stupid combo...
