Number C6: Chronomaly Chaos Atlandis

Recommended Posts

Light/Machine Type XYZ Monster
ATK 3300/ DEF 3300
Rank 7

3 Level 7 monsters
If you activate this card’s effect, for the rest of the turn, damage to your opponent becomes 0. Once per turn: you can target 1 monster your opponent control, equip that monster to this card as an Equip Card. This card gains ATK equal to the number of monsters equipped to it by the effect(s) of this card x 1000. If this card has "Number 6: Chronomaly Atlandis" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
● Detach 3 Xyz Material from this card and send all “Number” monsters equipped to this card by its effect to the Graveyard; your opponent’s Life Points become 100.

What a crazy effect. Detach 3 XYZ material for 7900 Life Points.

Considering how easy it is to make Rank 6's, I'm worried this might become a thing.

Hieratics can make Cowboy and Atlandis with minimal effort for example.

There's legitimately no way to OTK with this card in a single turn though, which is the one balancing factor.

Well, that and the fact that you have to run and make No. 6 and hope to be lucky enough to draw into a Rank Up Magic without your opponent disrupting your plays in any capacity.

one thing I would like to know is whether it can equip something that it destroyed.

"After damage calc" would mean "before the monster dies", so I'll say yes.

OT: sad the other two effects got cut, it was legitimately neat it could revert to normal form, though I can see why the targeting effect died.

Also, I really hope Argent Chaos Force isn't a Premium Pack card...

I sincerely hope they're not planning on the LP to 100 effect, even though it also prevents the opponent from taking further damage for that turn. Because then you're forcing the opponent to have zero margin for error on damage afterwards, forcing them to go completely defensive to prevent death by scratch damage.

And then the stray burn S/T appears.

They clobbered Wiraqocha Rasca in the past for good reason, they should do the same to Chaos Atlandis.

These are the Chaos Numbers we're talking about, they don't nerf those nearly that badly.

Despite the fact this is unconfirmed, I'm REALLY hoping the whole "Opponent's Life Points become 100" thing doesn't stay true.
Even for a Number C, that is still absurd.

inb4 no-one uses it, because "RUM sucks".

On another note, this may give Chronomaly a second win condition to go for (the first being the Machu Mech OTK with Machu Mech and Fork Hyuk).

Card is so ridiculous.

You can costlessly turn any monster (faceup or facedown) into an Equip card, and this gains 1000 per equip, so you Summon this, steal their best monster, and swing for 4300 damage. Dragon Rulers can even use this instead of No.7.

Or you can Rank-Up No.6 and turn their LP to 100, plus steal their best monster and have a 4300 beatstick. WOW. That's...ugh. Disgustingly good.

So am I the only one remembering how inconsistent this would be, mainly because of RUM?   The effect is indeed ridonkulous, but if this effect is true, Konami is probably aware that RUM, by itself, is a significant balancing factor.  It could also be why they haven't given the mechanic a searcher; they may never intend to.
