Northern Sage
During damage calculation, when a monster you control battles an opponent's monster: Activate this card; monsters cannot be destroyed by this battle, also the battle damage taken becomes equal to the Life Points of the player who would take that damage -1. During your Main Phase: You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target, and if you do, skip this turn's Battle Phase. I see a bad pun and something outclassed by Threatening Roar.

evilfusion
Vector used Endure! Vector endured the hit! Seriously, that's what this card is. It's Endure in the form of a Trap Card. The second effect is okay, but yeah, it's kind of trying too hard.
~British Soul~
Hey look, its Marik's one eye. Funny thing, that's actually referenced on le wikia, which I find to be the most interesting part about this card tbh.
Mugendramon
Has anybody else read that this card makes any attack you make leave the opponent with 1 LP.

goddamnit names are a pain
Not to mention setting a brick wall like Defender and doing this on Opponents first turn for lolz. Add Poison of the Old Man. xD
Miror B
Has anybody else read that this card makes any attack you make leave the opponent with 1 LP. That's only when you flip the card face up though.
Mugendramon
That's only when you flip the card face up though. So attack->flip->1 next attack isn't affected so you win. ????
~British Soul~
Has anybody else read that this card makes any attack you make leave the opponent with 1 LP. Yeah I did, and even though that's a dirty move, it's still interesting though.
evilfusion
That's only when you flip the card face up though. Yeah, it's a one-time use. But that's still grossly unfair. At least other anime "Make LP to 1" effects tended to be either deliberately ridiculous (Earthbound God Wiraqocha Rasca) or particularly powerful (Chaos Atlanthal). This is practically a generic Trap Card.
Miror B
Tbh I would thing this would be more a "If either player's life points would be reduced to 0, they're reduced to 1 instead" type effect, unless the anime actually used the strategy of "Turn 100 damage into 3999 damage"
evilfusion
That's what I was expecting. But the episode using this card is next week, so we won't know for sure what context it was used.
goddamnit names are a pain
They should have Vector play a second copy (assuming he played it) and then Sparks the next chance he got. It would literally be the best thing ever, in all of Yugioh.
heraldry_lord
I see a bad pun and something outclassed by Threatening Roar. Threatening Roar has nothing on this. This thing can practically reduce your opponent's Life Points to 1 just by inflicting Battle Damage to them.

Well, we originally didn't notice it said either player, so it was seen as, well, Endure as a Trap Card. To which Roar is better. Then we looked closer... They might make it 100 too, instead of 1, and since this can instantly make your LP 1, it has potential applications with Hope Ray and Shark Drake Veiss, and Self-Destruct Button if that matters. Thomas★Zero
Wait this is Evil 1 as I think I know what possible direction this duel could take.... OT: This card is pretty nuts for what its designed to do plus they will obviously make an Evil 2 and 3 I feel their going to have a 4th card which has similar effects to what Zero and Infinity did but as one card and acts on how many "Evil" Traps their are. Brinolovania
The "1" could just be referring to the life it leaves you at...there aren't necessarily gonna be more. As for the card itself, it's freakin' broke, nothing much else for me to say.

I feel in this case they may do as per referencing Yugioh's major villains like how Evil 1 references Yami Mariks eye.

I think it's just a coincidence that the art references the original series imo. Though it's got plot device written all over it.
