Goose
Is there any way the meta could shift for this to be good?

Sora1499
Last clause outright mutilates it. And I doubt it.

Goose
It severely hampers your ability to control the board/OTK/make pushes. This logic is for a non-volcanic context btw >implying there is a difference in a volcanic context You see, while Konami designed Hammerer, Counter, and Slicer as cards, they didn't design them well. Using the whole "burn" approach thing, you lose a lot. Volcanics are mostly Rank 4 spam with more destruction/card advantage. There is only a burn element if you play Scattershot. evilfusion
Volcanics are a slow burn/control Deck, based on the design. Things like Slicer dealing 500 damage a turn, but not being able to attack, and the Blaze Accelerators stopping you from attacking, and Hammerer dealing a small amount of damage on a 2400 body. They all focus around having decent stats, but small-burn effects that keep you from attacking. To make Blaze Accelerator good, you need more Pyros with 500 ATK or less that would love to be in the Graveyard and actually net a significant benefit. Even bad ones. This is such a good card, with rocket being able to get it from Deck OR Grave. Gotta love it.
Sleepy
It's probably the most interactive burn deck the game has ever made. The card's damage is a small result from blowing up their monster. Well, at least Accelerator does. Can't speak for the stall-oriented theme that the monsters require. I'd love to make a sort of O-Brian deck but haven't seen a Scattershot in ages. Also, nowadays you can tech a couple machines to fuse for Blaze Fenix and Volcannon, which happens to mix well with the theme/flavor.
