Number C101: Silent Honors Dark Knight

Recommended Posts

NumberC101SilentHonorsDarkKnight-LVAL-JP

3 Level 5 monsters

Once per turn: You can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls; attach that monster to this card as an Xyz Material. When this card is destroyed while it has Xyz Material: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard, then gain Life Points equal to its original ATK. If Summoned this way, this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn. You must have "Number 101: Silent Honors Ark Knight" in your Graveyard to activate and to resolve this effect.

Trolling first turn spams with this guy and that artwork is so sick.

Artwork is legendary, I really, really want this from LVAL. I'll be buying till I get it.

As for effect, it has some of the best removal in the game so far, taking monsters so that they are unusable by your opponent. It is targeting, so can be avoided, but as people so often forget, if it has Number 101 as a material, OR you have already used 101 and it is now in the Grave, it becomes almost infinitely recurring, which combined with 2800 LP gain whenever this occurs, makes irritating scrubs a simple matter.

If you use Rank 4, and you use RUM, you run this. No argument.

(Also run C106 for full field negation!)

And C104.

The card is really good. Especially the whole not a massive reliance on it's original form. Plus as everyone has said the art, oh lord the art.

My favourite thing is that unlike the other Chaos Numbers, this is still the same thing as it's normal form. As in it didn't change, it just decided to make things personal.

OR... buy the single, it's less complicated that way. Though speaking from experience, what you're planning to do is exactly what I did when PTDN first came out: I kept buying packs until I pulled a Yubel, it was a stupid thing to do because I ended up buying a copy from a friend.

It is a fantastic card, and probably the best Chaos Number, just because it's so effective at what it does.

And it's funny... You could, literally, run 3 of these and only 1 Ark Knight, due to the fact you could just Limited Force damn near anything into This card, and still get the full effect just cuz' you have that single Ark in the Graveyard.

Nah, that's too much of a hassle.

But that's why this card is better, due to its ability to be utilized in its full potential easily, especially compared to other CNo.

Evidently you didn't pick up on the sarcasm.

The problem is that no good player will never trigger this thing's full effect. In practical terms, it'll do about as much as C104.

No good player will ever have used No.101, and later Rank-Up any Rank 4 into this?

That's not what he said.

He said no good player's ever going to bite the bait that is C101 with 101 in the grave.

They'll outplay it or lose, but they won't bite unless they're going to immediately remove the revived copy for good.

It applies pressure to the gamestate, but not a whole lot more than it does even without 101 in grave.

And that is why I love Xyz Reborn. The turn before the scenario from my prior post, BEUD killed C101, it came back, BEWD killed it again, and Azure-Eyes swung directly. Xyz Reborn for the troll.

how exactly are the meta decks going to get around this besides prophecy fate banish in a practical way?

it feels like the meta isn't designed to remove this guy without triggering it's ability outside of just playing it's lesser form. which should be veiler'ed in response obviously.

and don't count on Limited card compulsory. you can't expect a player to have a single copy of a card in their hand over 50% of games in the first place.

since I can play this monster from my extra with two cards in my gadget deck it's is often an answer to my problems no matter the deck I fight. goblinburg/tinplate+ any gadget in hand. then rank up.

The upcoming format has Fire Fist, Mermail, Prophecy, and Geargia.

Fore fist have regular 101 if they want it and Vulcan.

Mermails have Big Eye and 101 if they want it.

Prophecy have Fate.

Geargia have 101.

Every deck has an answer to it. This card shouldn't be seeing serious play, anyway, as LBF still isn't a good enough card.
