1 "Nordic Ascendant" Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monsters
Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can activate this effect to have this card become unaffected by the effects of Spell/Trap Cards until the End Phase. During the End Phase, if this face-up card on the field was destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to the Graveyard this turn, you can remove from play 1 "Nordic Ascendant" Tuner monster from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned by this effect, you can draw 1 card.

Happy Halldor Day!

Also, remember the Star Pack? (the pack that made Escuraidao EU legal) Well... there'll be another Star Pack coming out next February, and this card is confirmed for a reprint (because it was shown on the box along with Thor, and the cover card Utopia Ray)

A Forbidden Lance effect during your MP on a 4000 ATK monster and a +1 revival effect (+2 if you count Summoning himself)?

Yes please.

Probably the best of all the Nordic gods, but at the same time the one that's the hardest to get out. If it was slightly easier, he'd see far more play.

I disagree. At least Vanadis is a worthwhile Tuner for all of them, and while she's steep Valkyrie sets this up from the get-go. Loki's Alfar are really lame.

Funny enough, the legend of Santa Claus is partly based on Odin, who would give out gifts in his traveler form. The one he's depicted in here.

A reprint is well-deserved for the Polar Gods, although they're not exactly very pricey as they are now.

I always really liked Odin, but the Nordic Ascendant Tuners are a bit lacking in synergy, the same problem is with the Alfar. And while Thor only has 1 Tuner, it has incredible synergy with the Nordic Beasts, which is why Thor is generally the easiest one to bring out.

Loses to Bottomless, Compulsory, Solemn, and Fiendish Chain. Doesn't lose to Torrential but nobody's gonna let you put it together if they have that Set. It's a relic of a destructive age...

and you lack the vision to see how this relic is still powerful and important to remember, because it will require one of those, and ONLY solemn is going to be a for sure thing. remember the gods have more than their own effects to work with, a see a lot of the polar decks run the quickplay forbidden lance, because 3000-3200 ATK is still large enough to cause problems, and oh. it's unaffected still for the rest of the turn. so swing away without fear.

I have found this to be effective still against meta decks, most certainly if they don't expect it. only one with an easy answer has been prophecy. and fate's at one. so there is time to dig for another lance or other protection card.

You could do the same thing with a different Synchro Monster that is not so difficult to Summon and has a more useful protective effect, made by a different Deck. Star Eater won't have 3200 ATK after Lance, but it will still be a wrecking ball.

but this thing looks pretty beastly and has a beastly 4k attack :o

The 3 polar god should have at least kept the ability to be revived when you destroy them. Imagine how you could chain offerings to the doomed/destruct potion to your opponent's bottomless trap hole and laugh at them.

Yay for TTs at absolutely no loss of advantage. Or even Destruct Potion for +4000 life out of nowhere.

But really, they needed some nerfing. Generic AND inherently self-reviving at no cost? No.

Maybe that new anime Pack has hope. Dragons something or another.

Fenrir, serpent guy, and my favorite, Yallarhorn. (crap spelling)

Eh, I doubt many people are asking for the Wicked Wolfs. lol

Personally though, I'd like to see some much forgotten cards, like Satellite Base and Satellite Laser Balsam 0X6S
