United We Stand

Trying to get (back) into the meta and in my old man brain this card is scary but obviously that hasn't been the case in a long time.  MST at 3 helps I guess.

I can still see this being useful in pretty much any deck where you can swarm the field, but I digress.

Discuss and teach me pl0x.

Cloggy and way too vulnerable-

Technically, and for the most part, it's the monster that they are tied to, which kinda' sorta' determins the usefulness of such cards, but yea, that point still reamins. OR, in the case of cards like Murasame Blade, they have something going for them that isn't just ATK boost, and could give you more milage then what you would expect.

As the game's evolved, there's plenty of ways of ruining something like United We Stand or Mage Power.

-MST is one

-Forbidden Lance too, making the monster lose 800 ATK AND disregard the boost that the Equip was giving it.

-Book of Moon is still decent to me.

-Many decks will easily access monster removal or card removal in general, so it's never too huge of a problem to get rid of an unprotected beater. It also being a card that depends on quantity to work, it won't do much for you as your monsters go down in numbers.

It's still a solid card on it's own with up to a 4000 ATK boost, which is intimidating enough. It's just that the potential counter plays for something like that are more accessible. I remember when this card, Scapegoat, Mage Power, and MST were all limited. Fun times.

Sticking my head in a section it don't belong, but something's always bothered me about this card...

If it's called United we Stand... Then why does the equipped monster gain 800 ATK for itself, when it's out on the field by itself...?

It makes no sense people! Or at least it never has to me. ;)

Anyway, it's a digression about the card's theme that's really not here or there. Agree with most of the above in terms of use. Used to hate it in GX-era, but game has moved on and there's more that deals with it now.

Didn't UWS used to be banned for that exact same reason? lol

Well, I run this card, and it's nice...

... In that Lycanthrope Deck. Letting Dullahan run over everything (probably without even detaching for his eff) or Manju, or letting Lycan itself obliterate your opponent's LP with a 4800 swing +~1200 burn is pretty sweet. But then again, I suck at Deckbuilding, so I probably could have used those 2 spots on something better.

Edit: Maaaaaat! Hiiiiiiii! :D

Agents really don't want yet another bad topdeck and they need all the consistency they can get. United We Stand is a big no no.

well im just listing some stuff where you could actually use this

like idk i just though a +3200 atk card to your agent would be funny, or even to your shine ball

Wait, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this be viable in Harpies considering their ability to both A) swarm the field and B) kill your opponent's backrow?

With this card all you would really need is one attack for it to be effective.

Phalanx Pike is the better option in Harpies. And actually, quite hilarious.
