If a face-up Spell Card(s) in your opponent's Spell & Trap Card Zones is sent to the Graveyard: You canTarget 1 face-up monster on the fielddestroy that target.

Any uses in the side deck? and does this work on any spell activated?

Kind of a waste of an ultra rare. but knowing konami..

Yes, it does work on Spell cards just activated. Its what its designed to do. And why people overlook this card, because they believe it can't, when it actually can.

Also, I was JUST about to make a topic on this card. You beat me to the punch.

It can be played on Spell cards, so. Still not that good.

If this gets MSTed, it can't chain. Flaw one, of many.

That is a flaw yes, but think of it this way.

Artifacts. Legit backrow = mst ain't happening yo, so they'll try playing around it, and BOOM you have this facedown. Think of the profits yo.

Artifacts won't make people stop using MST period, artifacts just mean people will get smarter about using MST. Like if the deck becomes relivant, either a) Not blind MST'ing unless they are pushing for game or for a major play, or jsut not blind MST'ing.

And if the decks no relivant, it won't change things either way.

OT: Card is meh. If I wanted 1 for 1 monster removal, I'd use Smashing Ground or hell Soul Taker

Furthermore, this card pretty much says Fuck you to the following cards:

Field Spell Replacements

Book of Moon

Spellbook stuff

Fire Fists attempting to pop stuff by tribbing their own stuff

Any search card (like ROTA or Charge of the Light Brigade)

Kill whatever is summoned by Revival cards! Such as Book of Life.

Stop your opponents plan! Stuff like Gravekeepers Stele, Salvage, and others!

The card is mostly not needed.

If we see Spell/Trap removal, we pretty much only have 1 for 1s like MST.

If we see monster removal, you'll find out that those stopped being a +0s a while ago, or if it's not "destroy 1", it's fully chainable non-destroying cards like Compulsory.

Compare it with most regular monster hate staples and you'll see how low it ranks. It's barely better than Fissure nowadays. The card doesn't provide any particularly needed service like MST does for S/T hate.

I still like the card's concept a lot, though.

Or Y'know.. people can't afford to spend a bajillion dollars on staples like Mirror Force and D-Prison.

Budget is not an excuse when it comes to the usability of a bad card.

Also don't see how mirror force is a valid argument when it's neither an absolute staple nor expensive.

Commons are like 3-4 bucks for mirror force. Thats expensive.

Fiendish Chain commons are 5 bucks.

Not exactly fitting of a budget.

And budget is a very legitimate excuse. Lacking the funds means you need to find cheaper alternatives.

Even then, there are better options than this for not lots of money.

Stuff like hell Soul Taker or Smashing Ground are still better than this.

Those can't be used on your opponents turn. And Smashing Ground is terrible because you can't choose what to kill.

Soul Taker is half decent. its roughly the same price (as a common, everything else is 5+ bucks). So that is a legitimate argument.

GJ reading what I said.

I said it's not an argument when you're talking about a card that's still very much bad. The 40 card argument doesn't work when it's not Smashing ground, Soul Taker, Sakuretsu, etc. Just because it's budget doesn't mean you run shit and claim it's good.

It's too conditional to be really useful. While you can activate it when an opponent resolves their Normal/Quickplay Spell, that assumes that they put a monster on the Field already, and that they didn't in some way get rid of this card. It is dead in almost all other situations, and nets you a tiny benefit.

If a card is situational, especially a removal card, it is outclassed by a lot. You could probably run Trap Hole over this and get similar, if not better, results more often than not.

Can I still run shit and claim it's shit? :s
