Cannot be Special Summoned, except by its own effect. During your next Standby Phase after this card was Tributed for a Tribute Summon, if this card is in yourGraveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You cannot Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck the turn you activate this effect.

So it is related to the Oshaleon monsters…

As its japanese name implies, it really needs devotion to become an effective tribute engine.

Discuss.

This looks to be very geared towards the new Monarch support coming out. It is basically the Treeborn Frog replacement that deck needed in order to be good. It is WATER as well meaning it will work with Genex Undine. It kind of ties your hands though because if you need to use it for something other than Tributing, it won't come back. You also can't use Enemy Controller with it, which was one of the best plays Monarchs had at one point.

I dislike the fact this card can't be Special Summoned, outside of it's effect.

So it is related to the Oshaleon monsters…

シャレオン -> Oshaleon
マジオシャレオン -> Majioshaleon
アドバンス・ディボーター -> Advance Devoter -> Majiosheldon
It's only really by the artwork does it imply a relation. Name wise, not so much.

It is WATER as well meaning it will work with Genex Undine.

But unlike Treeborn Frog, this needs to be Tributed first, in order for it to come back.
Though it has 2K DEF, so it can act as a wall before that.

huh, id still rather use treeborn

this needs to be drawen, milling it wont work, you need to protect it from s/t,

obv once you set it off it can be op but you might not always draw into a tributed monster for a turn and then you are going to have to protect it like crazy

obv this means you will be able to use spell and traps but not sure if this will be that good

and not being able to special summon monsters from extra deck is well not too bad but might shut you down some turns

what i like about this tho you could go and do a lv7 or higher tribute with this and treeborn but that would be a bit inconsistent at times to focus on both of them

also why this oshaleon card not like have something to support the oshaleon :( other than being searched by it

Other than Double Summon, I don't see how you'll get it rolling too often.

Also, I don't particularly see what the play is that this card enables that Treeborn Frog doesn't already.

There's the awesome chance of both Treeborn and this reviving during the Standby Phase for a whooping double Tribute for general use. Even though it doesn't sound all that consistent.
