Sleepy
1 "Nordic Alfar" Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monstersOnce per turn, when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card during your Battle Phase, you can negate its activation and destroy it. During the End Phase, if this face-up card on the field was destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to theGraveyard this turn, you can remove from play 1 "Nordic Alfar" Tuner monster from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned by this effect, you can select 1 Trap Card in your Graveyard, and add it to your hand. Is he gonna have a better chance at shining now? I mean, Pendulums do facilitate this card's Summoning conditions, with that Level 5 Tuner that always dragged it back and all... At the very least he is a 3300 beater that comes back once. He also is getting reprinted from what I heard.
Slinky
He may be the weakest in strength. But he is the strongest in effect. reycling traps is a very powerful effect, which reflects the difficulty of summoning him compared to Thor and Odin. I just wish the first part didn't restrict to just your battle phase, I'd have gone with either battle phase imo.
evilfusion
Until we know all the nuances of Pendulum Summoning, it's difficult to really judge the merits of cards based on the impact of Pendulum Summoning. Loki is a really cool card who got screwed the most by the Nordic cards' lack of synergy/support. Thor and the Nordic Beasts are super synergetic, but have the weakest effect, and the Nordic Alfar are interesting support cards, but the Tuner is Level 5, and Mara is painfully specific as a Tuner. Odin got a really cool effect and powerful stats, and both Vanadis and Valkyrie are good cards in their own right, although Valkyrie is painfully specific (as it should be, being an instant Odin) and Vanadis is Nordic-specific. I hope the reprints of the Nordic Gods give very concise information with the Problem-Solving text, since the revival condition is actually a bit complicated in some scenarios. I just wish the first part didn't restrict to just your battle phase, I'd have gone with either battle phase imo. It was probably for the better. I think the anime version only stopped Traps. But then again, Loki was used in a Riding Duel, where Spells don't occur during the Battle Phase.

Toffee.
Actually, with regards to Loki's Battle Phase effect- Most of it has to do with baiting and playing mind games. I mean, if you want to try and D-Prison/etc Loki, then you have to be a little more cautious as to what happens, because for all you know, they might not even attack with Loki in the first place.Oh, and this card turns Reckless Greed into more a draw engine, which is pretty silly. Organized Chaos
I got an Ultimate Rare Loki one Christmas and it is easily my most prized card. It just looks so amazing in Ultimate. OT: Loki was always my favourite Aesir, simply because he had a quite original but helpful effect. Alfar are a very tricky Deck and can be kind of inconsistent at times but are still pretty fun. Loki being a Spellcaster also gives it Spellbook of Wisdom and other support I guess. Recycling Traps is pretty great. using Loki last format was pretty hilarious as you could recycle Sixth Sense. All in all, a pretty silly card, not nearly as consistent as Odin but still pretty good in casual duels.
goddamnit names are a pain
Ah, this card brings back memories.... As in 9/10 crushing my brother whether or not he had the Aesir on the field or not. And then going pro and playing Zero Force whatever Yusei did with T.G. Blade Blaster. Agro
Due to the supreme perfected power of this card, we at Konami decided upon its release that we would no longer be making Synchro Monsters, or acknowledging their existence in the slightest. Our minds, at Konami, were inevitably changed, however, when we came up with the even better idea of Mist Bird Clausolas.

That explains why T.G.s suck so bad.
