Birdman is involved with Geargia / Karakuri OTKs and several degenerate FTKs. I could see Konami simply banning it.

What do you think? Would that be fair?

He's not a broken card, but he's always going to be involved in something as long as he exists.

I won't care if they ban him if they hit actual problems as well.

I don't think chalice works on LaDD unless there's a chain involved.

Venus into 3 Shine Balls, bounce one for Birdman and then go into Gachi and #17 was the first modern combo I learned when I migrated out of the Tagforce world and into DN. Be amazing again, Agents. Or you could've went into Trish, or even a 2700 Brio.

 

It sucks when seemingly cool concepts end up being stupid. You undo a Summon of yours to get a Tuner SS, but nowadays you're going to be doing that for the card abuse.

Bouncing your own cards is always a dangerous thing.

Theoretically, it's a harmless thing to do, since Birdman itself, basically, turns any monster of yours into a Level 3 Tuner.
The issue here in question, though, is the fact it's interaction with things like Geargias and what-not make it ridiculously abusable, because in those sorts of scenario you basically Summon this card out of thin air, and the fact you've suddenly gained a Tuner leads into various other plays.
So, more or less, this card is similar to Magician of Faith in the sense that the card itself isn't really that game-breaking, but rather, it's the sort of combos n' junk that revolve around it, which makes it rather threatening.

It's not particularly awful design, but it's certainly not good design. It's a card that's either nigh useless or abusable in some capacity, because there's no reason to Special Summon it except to reuse an effect or if you had 2 mons out and wanted to replace one with this tuner because you drew this later.

 

But that's niche and gonna be winmoar 9/10 in a slower gamestate, so

Just do what they did and start limiting/banning the cards that it combos to well with. Divine Mist Valley something or another?

I will smile when they crush Geargia Karakuria whatever the hell it is because it needs the hit. This doesn't need the hit for just being winmoar for many decks- the decks themselves need the hit if this card is that bad.

It helps slow decks and gives a nice Level 3 Tuner....I like it.
