Lavalval Chain

All it does is create unfair combos in decks that abuse the Graveyard. See:

- Gem-Knights

- Heraldics

- Zombies

- Lightsworn

- Infernity

- Others I am forgetting

Had it not been generic, people wouldn't even bother with it.

However, since it is generic, it should be @0. I really hope no one disagrees with me. This has pretty much been the popular opinion since this card was announced.

It's not JUST a Foolish. Being a foolish implies it mills monsters only. This literally mills ANYTHING, which while not SUPER important does open up shit with spell/trap recycling.

Also, have people conveniently forgotten that you can stack any monster on top of your deck? When this card first came out I thought that was the most broken part of it. I've since been disproven, but that is still too much.

Yeah this card creates combos that shouldn't exist and is just generally not healthy for the game. Foolish is @1 for a reason, and this is just a walking Foolish that can be done twice if it survives and also has a nice other effect that can be useful (I'm looking at you, Infernity Archfiend).

It does kind of deserve to get hit. Rank 4s have so many options these days, and so many archetypes devoted to them, especially archetypes that love the Graveyard, that it just does SO much. The card's price seems to be on-par with 101 lately.

The ability to send ANY card is way awesome. Just sending monsters would also be awesome, but any CARD gives things like Gem-Knights their key card essentially for free. Sure, Gem-Knights don't do much, but it's still painful. Then Zombies and Heraldics smirk wickedly. Infernity abuses it, but Infernity isn't on my radar much.

I love the card, but it seems to be getting more and more abusable as time goes on.

I don't remember anyone saying this card was an "unfair, broken ass card" upon it's release. In fact, I pretty much heard this card was like the most ingenious thing ever. And then more and more Archetypes got released that abuse the graveyard, and suddenly this card is the victim. Isn't it the Archetype's fault for being stupid, in that case?

People were cautious of it the moment it was printed and by the second thread it was labeled broken.

Honestly I feel that says more about how Konami structured this game than anything else. With all the Graveyard interaction that exists, it's practically a game of necromancy.

OT: if memory serves, at one point people found Emeral better than this. That did not last.

ITT: Focused milling (with requisite costs and/or restrictions) is borked, blah blah blah --

Of course this game is all about plusses out of hats and asses these days (as Supply Unit in its ingratiating, no-deck's-behind-left way has amply showed) -- but shouldn't there be some questioning on the cards it mills, on the combos it's a part of, the effort it takes for this to be dropped, et cetera?
