Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Return of the Millennium Items:

It is not known how, nor is it known why.  But somehow the ancient pyramid of the Pharaoh that had collapsed when Yugi defeated Atem in the duel to set him free.  Not only has the pyramid reformed, the Millennium Items scattered across the globe selecting specific duelists to wield them.  Also the three Egyptian God Cards each chose a duelist who can wield them, and have scattered to those duelists.  Along with the release of the Millennium Items, the Shadow Games have begun again, and some of the most evil, and vicious opponents the heroes have ever faced have returned.  Whether this incident was caused by one of them, or by some ancient force is unknown, but the Yugi Muto, now grown into the Pharaoh has regained the Millennium Puzzle.  However the evil duelists who have faced the pharaoh before have set their sights on Duel Academy to add souls to the Shadow Realm.  Now, the Millennium Items have gone to the characters listed:

Millennium Puzzle: Yugi Muto

Millennium Rod: Yami Marik

Millennium Necklace: Ishizu Ishtar

Millennium Eye: Maximillion Pegasus

The others are up for grabs.

My Character:

Name: Yami Marik

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Personality:  Yami Marik is a person of pure cruelty and insanity who cares for no one but himself, as he was born of hate, anger, and envy. Yami Marik ruthlessly murdered his father, and was constantly trying to kill Odion for being a hindrance to his existence in the outside, and threatened Ishizu with death for hiding their brother. Yami Marik showed no interest for Yami Yugi's past or Seto Kaiba's past, something which his alter ego wanted to know. Also, unlike the true Marik, who had an actual goal fueled by a personal affliction towards the Pharaoh particularly, Yami Marik didn't seem to have any goal except for spreading pain and suffering like the sadist he is. Before being sent to the Shadow Realm (in the English dub), he did tell Marik that they could rule the world together. But it's debatable as to whether or not that was an actual goal he had, or if he was just trying to persuade Marik to free him from his predicament.

Aside from his lack of empathy, he also seems to be a sadist, building his Deck around torture-themed cards, and using the shadow powers to manifest them into reality, painfully hurting his opponents for his own pleasures. He even became dependent on his dark powers to win his duels, since he wouldn't have won his duel against Mai Valentine right away if it wasn't for Ra's Sphere Form, and in his duel against Joey Wheeler, he would have lost if Joey hadn't collapsed because of the torturing of Marik's "The Winged Dragon of Ra". During his last duel he even stated that he got the most pleasure torturing Yami Yugi.

In Noah Kaiba's Virtual World fortress, Yami Marik showed that he can be a reckless person, as he destroyed the fortress' computer, which was the only way of stopping the missile that was programmed to fire at the building. He also seems to enjoy thrill rides as he was seen smiling (with a bit of adrenaline rush) during the escape from the explosion.

Despite his cruelty and evil, he valued his own life dearly, and tried to murder Odion so he would not be sealed back in. He also tried to plead for Marik to help him win against Yugi after Marik was able to regain control of his body. Still, he shows traits of a masochist as well, especially in the Japanese version of his duel against Joey. For example, after his "Gil Garth's" pain was transferred to him, he laughed scabrously and stated that he was enjoying the feeling. He also appears to consider himself as the "true" Marik. In the 4kids version of his duel against Mai he even explained Marik's biography as if it was his own, mentioning the ancient scriptures, guarding the Pharaohs tomb, and the supposed pain he suffered as a result. He could have just been toying with their minds since none of that was ever implied in the future at all and that these were actually pieces of Marik's history and that Yami Marik birthed from the pain, but did not endure it himself.

Yami Marik was shown to be very clever in his duels such as using his Egyptian God Slime to complete his strategy of immortality and do a follow-up with Jam Defender to make it the only monster Yugi could attack (thanks to its ability to regenerate); he also knew more about Ra's abilities than his good side, he also outwitted his good side and Yami Bakura by changing most of the cards in his deck.

Yami Marik is shown to be clueless about advanced technology during the Virtual World arc as he was having trouble with a security pass-code when he pressed it, only to be denied.

Official Rules:
STUPID THINGS THAT GO WITHOUT SAYING

00. The general rules of the YCM forums apply to these forums as well unless explicitly stated otherwise. Rules specific to this section pertain to all roleplays posted and/or updated after May 4, 2010.
01. Links to roleplays on other forums or websites is forbidden.
02. Post count is disabled in the out-of-character (OOC) forum only. Keep this in mind when posting.
03. In-character (IC) posts and threads belong in the main forum, while OOC posts and planning/registration threads go in the OOC subforum. Don’t get them confused.
04. Any work that would warrant a PG-13 or higher rating (through swearing, drug or sexual references, violence, etc) must put a warning of some sort in the thread title. You also cannot portray any graphically sexual or violent content, or anything else that would require an M rating.
05. You must only post your own work. Plagiarism of any form, including posting other people’s work sans permission; claiming someone else’s work as your own; or posting blatant derivatives is forbidden. If using outside material, please link to the original source. Anyone found breaking this rule will be banned without argument.
06. In the roleplay forums alone, bumping any thread that is over 6 weeks old is considered necrobumping and will result in a thread lock and a warning.

CREATING AND GMING
07. Roleplay planning and discussion of ideas should be kept to the stickied planning thread. Do not post a separate thread.
08. Post the OOC thread first. This should contain your RP rules, plot and application form at minimum. Only upon having enough characters should you post the IC thread.
09. All roleplay application forms require at minimum a field each for name, gender and age, as well as a space for appearance (either a picture and/or 1+ paragraph of description, at the GM’s discretion) and personality (1+ paragraph). Additional fields are up to the GM to add. Other structures for applications, such as freeform or diary-style, must indicate that this information or the equivalent is somehow expressed.
10. Do not bribe other members to join your roleplay by means of points or reps, and only advertise your roleplay in your signature.
11. Club-exclusive roleplays are limited to one per club.
12. All roleplays must have at least three players, not characters, participating before they start. One on one roleplays are not allowed: if you want to conduct one, use private messaging or alternate methods (ex. MSN, Skype).
13. It is the GM’s responsibility to run their RP smoothly. Inability to do so will result in the roleplay forum staff interfering, and often not for the better.
14. The OOC thread of a roleplay is not a chatbox; minimize posting whenever possible. When submitting an application, please limit your posts to posting the application form itself and letting the host know you've made any changes requested. When actually roleplaying, keep on topic and only discuss the plot and characters of the RP. Any thread found to be significantly off-topic or otherwise "spammy" will be locked, and its members will be appropriately punished.

ROLEPLAYING

15. Avoid godmodding (performing actions that cannot be defended against or giving oneself inordinate amounts of power), metagaming (using information that couldn’t be known in-character), and powerplaying (controlling another player’s actions without their permission). These are all grounds for forced expulsion from the roleplay by the mods.
16. All roleplays must have the following rules posted so that they are clearly visible in some form, and all members must follow said rules without argument. Failure to do so will result in a warning, and not adding them within 24 hours of the warning will result in a lock. (These are collectively known as the Advanced Clause.)
a. All IC posts require at least 4 lines of text, or roughly 100 words at standard formatting.
b. Posting in script format is forbidden.
c. Copy-pasting or “expying” characters without tailoring them to the new roleplay is forbidden.
17. Do not use chat speak or smilies in IC posts. Spellcheck and proofread for grammar and spelling mistakes before posting.
18. The use of "Zalgo text" is allowed, as long as you don't go overboard.
