Once per turn: You can send 1 "The Agent"monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, this card's Level becomes the Level of that monster. Discuss !! Catterjune Posted April 17, 2014 Report Share Posted April 17, 2014 Never really liked Sanctuary in the sky in my Agent builds.The "send an Agent" effect is nice, since it sets up Hyperion plays (I've been in dozens of situations where I got out Hyperion but had no fairy in the grave yet). No real interest in the level changing effect.I dislike that it's dark. It can't be used in Hyperion's field destruction effect, it can't be used for Cards from the Sky, it can't be used with Honest, it can't be used with Miraculous Descent or Light of Redemption. Being level 5 also means it can't be summoned on the fly, unless of course Sanctuary in the Sky is in play but Sanctuary isn't that great.Being a tuner and level screwing with is alright, but ultimately it's just not that great a card. Maybe Neptune and Pluto will also be dark and also do stuff with sending to the grave or getting effects when in the grave and you can build a Chaos Agents variant, but overall I'm unimpressed. Yup, the same feeling... but still... It has some very interesting other uses: It can be Special Summoned with "Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen" and "Celestial Transformation". This card can be useful in pitching Summon fodder for "Master Hyperion" to the Graveyard, to prevent you from losing cards unnecessarily when you summon him. Furthermore, this card's status as a Tuner Monster can make its effect useful in combination with "Hyperion" and the other "The Agent" monsters. By sending "Earth" to the Graveyard with this card's effect, you can banish the "Earth" for "Hyperion" and immediately (or after using the effect of "Hyperion") Synchro Summon "Leo, the Keeper of the Sacred Tree". I think you meant fuel for Hyperion's effect (dunno if it has a cool name like "summon fodder".) I'll concede that it does pitch fodder for Hyperion, but like... even the fuckin' Mathematician can do that now-a-days. Forces you to main Mystic Shine Balls, and Mystic Shine Balls are overwhelmingly awful. I can not overstate how much I hate Mystic Shine Balls. If you're running any speed in your deck (Upstart, Cards from the Sky) it's likely you'll draw into a copy, especially since you need 3.This reminds me an amusing anecdote/PTSD flashback. So I was in a duel and I summoned Agent Venus against my opponent who had some level 4 monster with 1700 attack. So I think, "okay, go for the Xyz and attack over it". My opponent chained Maxx C. e_eSo... I pretty much had to keep going with my move, summoning Shine Balls, then going for the Xyz, and in the end he wound up drawing 4 cards off my fucking card for a move I had to do otherwise I'd lose.I mean, I still lost anyway obviously, but that duel and that situation firmly cemented my belief that Agent Venus and Shineballs were awful and should never ever be played. Otherwise, I don't see this card being played outside of Sanct builds, and even then it's pushing it. I'm sure you can use it well. The fact that it's level 5. Otherwise, it provides a good source to thin the deck while getting out dead Venus (because we all know Venus is probably dead after turn 2 or 3). At the same time it loads the graveyard with more food for Hyperion and your Chaos monsters and Soul Charge. However since it's level 5 you need to tribute a monster which most of us will agree isn't worth it. That is a -1 to summon it and tuning will general be a minus unless you go into Black Rose Dragon so you lose a lot of advantage if you play this in traditional agents. I know I wont. BUT BUT BUT BUT I'm Welche, meaning I get to tell you how good Sanctuary Agents are. Take a look at this thread: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/309951-sanctuary-agents/ and agree with me. Beelze does not warrant running Sanctuary. You could just run Genex Ally Birdman, play Venus, grab a Shine Ball or 3, bounce 1 for Birdman, Venus some more if wanted, and Synch Birdman, Venus, and Ball 1 into Beelze.
