I don't think I have phobias, at least for now. I may have had them in the past but that's just because I was a kid (like fear of butterflies. "the f***", you whisper).

Zemmiphobia- Fear of the great mole rat.


That said, I was having a ponder, and thought back to a time when I was abroad. On a small boat off to sea, beautiful clear water, looked off the side of the boat, and got the creeps. Usually perfectly fine with the sea and swimming in it, but it was because it was clear and you could see to the bottom. The very far away bottom - you get the illusion that you're suspended above a massive drop. Hence, it was probably my fear of heights that caused that. Odd.

Also, literally have no clue how trypophobia is not officially recognised as a phobia. I think most people have it.

I get the same thing except I haven't been on a boat- as in just in general. I may not even be high up but if the drop is deep enough....you know, 3, maybe four feet. xD

When asked if I was serious, I replied that while it was probably a legit phobia, it definitely was NOT called "X"-phobia.

 

Unfortunately, I don't remember what fear I was referencing, so I have no idea what to look for on that cool list.

I'm reminded of the conversation at work I had a few days ago. I referenced the fear of big words in itself being a big word. And I then used a made-up term for a fear of something. When asked if I was serious, I replied that while it was probably a legit phobia, it definitely was NOT called "X"-phobia.

 

Unfortunately, I don't remember what fear I was referencing, so I have no idea what to look for on that cool list.

I have SEVERE hemophobia (i.e. fear of blood)

Ah I have a bit of this too.

So I have a fear of real gore/blood

 

Oddly it happens when I see it and not when I self inflict it. I know what your thinking, but I mean when I take a scab or something off or accidentally cut/ram/bash myself into something and start bleeding. I enjoy the blood then...weird.

That is pretty odd seeing as though I'm the exact opposite, I've seen people bleed out onto the sidewalk and it doesn't phase me, yet the second I get even a minor cut I start to feel light-headed.

My reaction to other people bleeding is pretty much my go to- gagging.

I gag, all the freaking time.

Blood does taste like iron, but it's sour. I don't particularly like it.

 

I was gonna say, blood has a very peculiar "metallic" taste to it. I could never describe the flavor, but I think metal is more accurate than anything I could come up with.

 

I got familiar with how it tasted and used that to confirm that sour candy makes my mouth bleed.
