Sleepy
This is pretty much just suited for casual as of now, because it'll most likely break something with ease, and you can't reproduce it via DN or pretty much anywhere online. Even IRL, it might make it more tedious to count your 40 card deck or having them with different sleeves might be an issue. Get yourself a second Main Deck, shuffle it, and place it next to the regular Deck. We'll call it "Revenge Deck" for this explanation. 1] Your Revenge Deck must follow the 3-card limit of each card. Which means that if you have 3 Call of the Haunted copies or a Torrential Tribute in your Main Deck and Side Deck already, there can be none over here. 2] Once per turn during the respective opponent's turn, when you take damage from your opponent that is 500+, you have the option of performing the following action: -Reveal 1 card from the top of your Revenge Deck for each 500 damage you took. Then add 1 of them to your hand and shuffle the rest back in the Revenge Deck. That's pretty much it. The card incorporates to the game after that and will be banished, sent to the Graveyard, or anything other cards would normally do with it. Except for returning it to the Deck, which will make it go back to the Deck it came from. It's meant to be a reactive toolbox sort of thing that gives you a little push when you fall back. Potential choices. -You can get Battle Faders and Swift Scarecrows in there to guarantee you are not gonna get OTKd too suddenly. -You can place what you'd usually have in the Side Deck, to make sure your auto-lose game 1 against a bad match-up gets fixable. -Though the edge is that what you reveal will essentially be public knowledge unless your opponent forgets you have X card. -It also in theory should make players think about the right time to push or hold back considering it's a +1 for the other side. -You can use it to store staples as well. -Decks that mill will have the choice of having cards that cannot be milled, though they also won't be drawn into so that's probably not a good idea, especially if you think any amount of damage to you can put you in the danger zone easily. Though I'm undecided on a couple things. Deciding the right Revenge Deck size, because too little makes it too consistent. Or the right damage amounts to trigger this, since 100 would make it "lift your deck and look at what you want" and 1000 would allow too many small damages to go under it. Sleepy
Fill the maindeck will all the cool stuff. Revenge Deck contains pure staples and/or busted cards. Would be pretty silly, IMO. It would. As rough as it currently is it definitely will be silly. Between you and me, the idea came to be after looking at "Problem Cards" from MLP's CCG, because they are basically the Life Point system and do funny stuff to the players at times. Which made me to initially wanna make a special kind of card just for these piles, but like a game designer once said "start broken and then tone it down until it's right when designing these". So yeah. so, this format would let you make a deck choke full of beaters yes? I guess so, yeah, if you want to.
