Greiga Posted April 29, 2014 Report Share Posted April 29, 2014 Because the forums are slow and I'm bored as s***, and because Quick Chaos and Admiration of the Thousands is now a thing, discuss this mechanic (or it's specific monsters) and whether they're usable with any cards, or whether any decks can safely run them. Blake Posted April 29, 2014 Report Share Posted April 29, 2014 Ptolemy's really f***ing good as a Rank 6, but pretty mediocre as an xyz change Gaia Charger's insanely unfair, being a design that breaks the limits, and shouldn't really exist. Downerd's really good, but not to unfair. LBF is still, generically, the best RUM for R4 -> R5. ACF is still the best chaos based RUM. Astral Force is the best one by far, because generic-ish upgrading. TSO's a sacky topdeck. BF is s*** NF is decent-ish i guess Quick Chaos is otk or bust; also Utopia Admiration's got a chance at future relevance as a side card. The actual CXyz/CNo vary by rank, but R5 has 2 great and a bunch of decent, and R9 is just so much good stuff. R6 is pretty good post DRLG, as well. I might try C5 in Gagagas because I'm on a budget and that deck loves going hard but I also don't want to Soul Charge into a single monster for obvious reasons. Supra does look pretty good considering he doesn't need to Rank Up (unlike Victory) and 3 mat is easy. Is this thread also talks about Hope Dragun? Discuss it pls. The general problem with CXyz though is that they didn't get nearly as much attention as the Chaos Numbers, and most of them were granted with relatively subpar effects. The effects are so subpar in fact, that if you made their entire effects generic, and reduced their Xyz Material count by 1, many of them would still be meh. Ultimatrainer needs 4 level 9s, which I cannot go into at the moment without Ranking Up. I'm saying "what if Quick Chaos had this effect". It's barely related. Because some still get the good part of their effects normally (since you brought in ALL the CXyz). I didn't even say it was bad, I just said I couldn't make it.
