BatMed
well, I wonder if we could find a new use for this card... Effect: When the effect of an opponent's monster is activated that targets and destroys a card(s) you control, you can send the targeted card(s) to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your hand. Discuss !!
Greiga
It kills the targeted card anyway and without that kind of effect it just sits in your hand. It's a side card if anything.
Toffee.
If it could be triggered by either player, it would have some shenanigans with it. As is.... Not so much.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
You can... like... ditch a monster so it won't be 101's material or blown away by Castel. If it's something like Delteros in Satellars, you get a free SS. It pretty much trolls a few of the opponent's plays, and is absolutely dead (bar Dr. Red) the rest of the time. BatMed
Well, still, I think this card is a pretty "side deck" card, it can be an effective counter to a lot of strategies: *This card can be an effective counter to "Dark Armed Dragon" or "Exiled Force". *It is also useful against Gladiator Beasts since it can be Summoned in response to the effects of "Gladiator Beast Murmillo", "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" and "Gladiator Beast Bestiari", all of which are key cards in a Gladiator Beast deck. *This card can be returned to your hand from the graveyard with "Herald of Creation" so you can use it's effect again. *This card would be good in a Dragunity Deck. *This card can be particularly effective against four of the eight Monarchs, ("Zaborg the Thunder Monarch", "Mobius the Frost Monarch", "Granmarg the Rock Monarch" and "Kuraz the Light Monarch"). When your opponent summons one of the aforementioned monsters, send to the graveyard the card(s) that the monster tries to destroy and Special Summon "Dragonic Knight" to the field and it is as simple as that. Not only is that "Monarch's" effect wasted, but you 1-up your opponent in terms of ATK points, the Monarchs having 2400 ATK and "Dragonic Knight" having 2800 ATK. *This card can easily be used for a Synchro Summon using "Sinister Sprocket" to summon out any Level 8 Synchro Monster, preferably "Red Dragon Archfiend" because of it being a DARK monster and allowing you to destroy one Spell or Trap. *This card can be an effective counter to "Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter", "XX-Saber Hyunlei", "Machina Fortress" or "Celestia, Lightsworn Angel". *Considering the rise in popularity of Six Samurai decks, this card can be an effect counter to "Hand of the Six Samurai" and "Legendary Six Samurai - Mizuho" as it is bigger than any Six Samurai or Shien monster. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
But 101 or Castel don't destroy. Oh, huh, I must've missed that. Then that leaves... like... Bear... or something... OOH! Lizard! Lizard's FLIP effect! ...Yeah, that's not much at all. Well, still, I think this card is a pretty "side deck" card, it can be an effective counter to a lot of strategies: *This card can be an effective counter to "Dark Armed Dragon" or "Exiled Force". DAD isn't really around much, and Exiled Force never ever shows up. *It is also useful against Gladiator Beasts since it can be Summoned in response to the effects of "Gladiator Beast Murmillo", "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" and "Gladiator Beast Bestiari", all of which are key cards in a Gladiator Beast deck. Glads aren't relevant. There's no point in siding cards against irrelevant Decks since it's less likely that they'll show up, and less likely you need a counter specifically tailored to them when something more versatile is around. *This card can be returned to your hand from the graveyard with "Herald of Creation" so you can use it's effect again. Uh... sure... though, this means your opponent knows that you have it, and won't try to use an effect that triggers it without having some sort of response. *This card would be good in a Dragunity Deck. Has no real synergy, except being a huge beatstick that Dr. Red can Summon. Zaborg is only run for the inclusion of Rank 5s in a Monarch Deck, if anything. Mobius is usually a tech. Granmarg is not ran, since Caius and Raiza exist and can do Granmarg's job better (and flipping the target doesn't nullify them). Kuraz is ran in its own weird Deck, but not in Monarchs. *This card can easily be used for a Synchro Summon using "Sinister Sprocket" to summon out any Level 8 Synchro Monster, preferably "Red Dragon Archfiend" because of it being a DARK monster and allowing you to destroy one Spell or Trap. So can pretty much any other Level 7 monster in the game. Not to mention that Hot RDA, Thought Ruler, or Beelze are the good Level 8 DARK Syncs right now (maybe not Thought Ruler sometimes). *This card can be an effective counter to "Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter", "XX-Saber Hyunlei", "Machina Fortress" or "Celestia, Lightsworn Angel". "Counter" implies that you're stopping your opponent's actions from working. You're still killing what your opponent wants dead, all that's different is that they now have to do something to combat the sudden 2800 body that hits the field. *Considering the rise in popularity of Six Samurai decks, this card can be an effect counter to "Hand of the Six Samurai" and "Legendary Six Samurai - Mizuho" as it is bigger than any Six Samurai or Shien monster. Rise in popularity lol. But 6Spams can, due to their spammy nature, simply churn out #101, and now Dragonic Knight is protecting your opponent's monster instead of your Life Points. Zauls
Use it against DAD? Yeah, you either lose 3 cards then drop this or you lose 2 cards + this depending on when you drop it. There are far more effective counters to everything that targets because they actually prevent you from losing the card your opponent targeted. Also OP sounds like he's getting all his arguments from lolWikia which is a terrible place to start if you're trying to justify a card's use. Basically, stop using terrible outdated arguments to justify the use of a terrible outdated card and get back into this decade. Dragonic Knight will never be good again period. The biggest issue is that it doesn't counter anything, because you still lose the card your opponent wanted gone. The only decent use I can see is to stop Bear attacking directly and even then there are better counters to Bear.
