Jord200
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ultimaya_Tzolk%27in_the_Ultimate_God 1 Dark Tuner monster + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersWhen you Set a card: Special Summon 1 "Duel Dragon" from your Extra Deck. Neither player can Set more than once per turn. Yeah.... This is a thing..... And its appearently Level 0. So discuss.
Northern Sage
Um, has there even been a Dark Synchro monster in the manga before this? With how Dark Synchros work, it's a pretty versatile level.

~British Soul~
I'm surprised noone has mentioned the fact that it's pretty much the manga version of the Crimson Dragon.
Philemon
I'm surprised noone has mentioned the fact that it's pretty much the manga version of the Crimson Dragon. It's actually the EVIL manga version of the Crimson Dragon. I'm half-expecting them to fuse the Duel Dragons into the Crimson Dragon to win. Lonk
Except. you arent subtracting the Dark Tuner, you're ADDING IT Please read what wiki has again. 1 or more non-Tuner monsters - 1 Dark Tuner monsterTo Special Summon this card, subtract the Level of a Dark Tuner monster from the Level of 1 or more other monsters you control; the value must equal the Level of this card. Like all other Dark Synchro monsters. Just grab a Level 4 monster and a Level 4 Dark Tuner and you're good to go.

evilfusion
Then the OP fails. Big time. Not necessarily. Dark Synchro Summoning still requires those Materials, but how the Levels are calculated is done differently, and is inherent to Dark Synchro Summoning. I assume that by virtue of them being "Dark Tuners", they have mechanic rules that they only can be used for Dark Synchro Summons and that the Level calculation is done via subtraction. We don't know 100% because no one ever used a Dark Tuner to Summon a positive Level Synchro.

evilfusion
if you read OP you clearly see the "+" sign. Yes, I saw that. I'm suggesting that since that's the way most Materials are listed, that Dark Synchros might also have it written that way, but they specify using Dark Tuners, and that maybe Dark Tuners and Dark Synchro Summons inherently work by subtracting Levels, but listing the Synchro Materials would still be written with "+". I don't know exactly how Dark Synchro lore is written in terms of Summon Conditions.

evilfusion
Decided to scour Wiki pages a bit. Dark Synchros seem to include rules text that, to Special Summon them, you subtract the Level of the Dark Tuner from the other monsters, and the result must equal the card's Level (which is negative). Whether it's literally written as "+" or "-" doesn't matter. Personally, I'd prefer the "+" because it matches how Fusion and Synchro Material conditions are already written, and the "-" feels more confusing than it should be for a relatively simple concept. In order to reach 0, the level of either the Dark Tuner or the non-tuner has to be negative with this wording.

As I then noted in my following post, that I did find this out, but that Dark Synchros also have rules text explaining how the mechanic works, making the addition or subtraction discussion completely pointless. Toffee.
You know, considering the usual Dark Synchro mechanic is Non-Tuner - Dark Tuner = Negative Level Dark Synchro, it is entirely possible that a Level 0 monster could exist.Problem with this is, is that can a Level 0 monsters be a Dark Synchro or a regular Synchro? I mean, the number 0 isn't really positive OR negative.Though, that's likely the point.

Problem with this is, is that can a Level 0 monsters be a Dark Synchro or a regular Synchro? I mean, the number 0 isn't really positive OR negative. Though, that's likely the point. That's probably why the only Level 0 monster to ever exist is a Dark Synchro God. It's otherwise impossible through game mechanics to be lower than Level 1. A regular Synchro cannot accomplish this, without using a Dark Synchro as the other Material. Tune Life Stream Dragon with Hundred-Eyes Dragon!
