-Dom-
So, was on DN testing various DUEA decks when I came across this, which seems pretty good, especially with Honest (and even Heralds). Is it worth the Ritual summon? You can Ritual Summon this card with "Hymn of Light". During the End Phase, if this card was Ritual Summoned this turn, or if a LIGHT monster was sent from the hand or Deck to the Graveyard this turn while this card was face-up on the field: You can activate 1 of these effects; ● Draw 2 cards, then discard 1 card. ● Discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand. ● Add 1 LIGHT monster from your Graveyard to your hand. You can only use 1 "Saffira, Queen of Dragons" effect per turn, and only once that Discuss...
werewolfjedi
lets see. gives a draw to recycle cost. makes effect veiler a +0 if you can keep this thing alive to the end phase, is a lower level ritual so the 7 and under ritual support works. can target your opponent's hand for discarding. big problem. if you save it once, they are able to just make it poof some other way and you don't get your plus. Spenсe
What is going on with that 1st Edition label? Is that a misprint? The card seems a bit slow tbh. The only deck I can see running this is a weird Hieratic deck. It's got decent stats though. Also, the ritual spell for it has a nifty protection eff:
~British Soul~
What is going on with that 1st Edition label? Is that a misprint? They moved it because of Pendulums. All cards since the release of the Starter Deck have had their 1st Edition label at the bottom.
newhat
I've never used it. It looks like it can carry games by itself but it's still a -1 at minimum the turn you Summon it, and it's vulnerable unless you have a Veiler to go with it. Valkyrus
A dedicated Saffira deck is nothing to sneeze at honestly. Well, if you manage to take her out on time that is. Djinn Releaser and Djinn Demolisher make this untargetable by effects and your opponent unable to SS. Dante and Scarm work well with her too since the Djinns are level 3 Fiends and the deck wants things in the graveyard (the djinns and even extra copies of the ritual spell). I'm currently testing a couple of builds with her and I've found out she's way better when run with the Djinn boosts.
Goose
I dream of the day rituals can be just teched into say Lightsworns.
Valkyrus
I dream of the day rituals can be just teched into say Lightsworns. It'll never be a consistent tech as long as it requires a Ritual Spell or having both the Spell and Ritual monster in your hand to work. Maybe if they create a Ritual Monster which Special Summons itself without a spell. But that would make it the same as any Nomi... Or a Spell which ritual summons from the deck. That'd be kind of sexy.
J-Max
First thing that came to my mind was Lightsworns but the problem is most of them have their effects activated during the End Phase meaning that it would be too late to trigger this card's 3 effects. If the effect was once per turn then this could be a Powerhouse in itself what with the Draw effect and all. The R itual Card does at least give it a chance to survive the turn however. Rituals need a lot more love as to me they are second worst, the worst being Fusions Pre-Poly.

That'd be kind of sexy. This. Ritual Spells summoning the monster from the deck would solve a couple of issues with Rituals: - It would require less materials, and the Summon would be a -1 at worst, not too different to a 2-material Synchro/Xyz Summon, and can be balanced by using Djinns, monsters that trigger effects when sent to the grave, +1 monsters like Manju, or even the effect of the Ritual Monster itself. - Since they would cost less, Ritual Monsters would no longer need overpowered effects to offset their costs. Rituals need a lot more love as to me they are second worst, the worst being Fusions Pre-Poly. They are getting some love actually, just take a look at Necloths: their approach of Ritual Monsters with hand-trap effects, in combination with Ritual Spells that banish monsters from the grave as Tribute, is interesting and apparently effective at addressing the inherent inconsistencies of Ritual decks. Hopefully Konami will give similar mechanics to future Ritual monsters.
Dementuo
MY QUEEN I've seen a few decks play this in Herald with the Djinns, and it actually seemed pretty good, considering the Hymn gives protection too. Drawing 2 and ditching it feels good.

CLG Klavier
Well, if you look at it just like an infinite source of Veilers/Honests, it's already pretty good, and extra effects are great. Might try something with her.
