Slinky
If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of theBattle Phase, and its battle position cannot be changed until the End Phase of your next turn. Why do I bring these up? Mainly because they are toolboxable outs to Popular beaters in today's format. Being 2300 means they can run over Midrash and survive. Lei Lei also happens to be a beast-warrior, so with Tenki, it is a toolboxable 2400 that matches the strength of Dark Law. Unfortunately, this is less viable due to Dark Laws anti-search effect. They will also trade blows with the soon-to-be Necloth of Unicore (and Brionac). So, discuss of their viability in today's formats? if they even are, because what I mentioned above are merely example, that also probably won't come up that often, but having a defense of 0 also gives them Masked Chameleon synchro options. TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
They are completely terrible and do not even deserve to be coffee hosters. That is how useful they are in todays meta.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Tenki, and to a lesser extent some other Fire Formations like Tensu, makes Lei Lei pretty interesting since it's a Normal-Summon-beat-over-thing thing, who climbs to the nice spot of 24 rather easily. Goblins, on the other hand, doesn't really get these sort of nice things, and they have to wait until Konami releases some sort of Goblin archetype (which sounds a lot more realistic than some sort of Indomitable Fighter archetype). Toffee. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
isn't there a card that just prevents monsters from being in DEF Final Attack Orders, yes, but Skill Drain does it better. Proof being the Obelisk Blue student who uses the Final Attack Orders + Lei Lei/Goblins/Giant Orc being completely inferior to the Obelisk Blue student who uses Skill Drain + Fusilier Dragon + Chainsaw Insect + Goblins/Lei Lei in Tag Force 1. Of course, neither Lei Lei nor Goblins should have such high value that you go that far to protect them nowadays, mostly because it's real easy to beat them even in Attack Position. newhat
They have their niche, but sometimes 2300 is overkill for a slot that could have gone to something with a useful effect. Assault Halberd for instance.
JadenxAtemYAOI
Somewhat funny to see your opponent rely on the idea of you special summoning something to kill their monster when instead you just maul it with Lei.
Trebuchet MS
Sometimes the easiest and most effective approach is often the most direct and simplest one - Beat its face in with something bigger.
