123katty Posted September 11, 2014 Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 Hi all, I was wondering why Konami hasn't released red Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards yet. Before Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V I thought, "Ooh, a new anime, wonder what new colour card they'll have?" Instead, they made a brown AND green card. Seriously. Red's even one of the primary colours. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW Posted September 11, 2014 Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 The Pendulums are orange (or yellow in some cases) and green because they're a mix of a Spell Card and an actual monster. As in, they can be Summoned like monsters, or activated like a Continuous Spell in the specific new Pendulum zones (which throw off the Grave/RFG for me). They could've made them red, but the orange/yellow+green combination works just as nicely. In fact, this means they could save the color red for something that isn't a mix of two other card types. Honestly, if Konami ever does try anything with red cards, the color might be darker to further distinguish them from Traps. Plus, darker reds look pretty cool.
