Marco Polo
The Frostland Arbiter, Crestalia. ~ an attempt at a (sort of) new concept. (1)When this card is Special Summoned, flip all other face-up cards on the field face-down. (2)As long as this Special Summoned card is face-up, cards that were face-up on the field while this card was Special Summoned cannot be activated or flipped face-up (except as a result of a battle). it like "freezes" the field when it hits it. discuss
JessicaMuddy
Two things: When monsters are flipped face-down, is that in defense position? I would assume so, but just to make sure. When monsters are flipped face-up during the battle phase, to they get flipped down again afterwards? Asking because that could abuse flip effects or piercing damage (If the monster can't be destroyed). But if it doesn't flip them down afterwards I say this card is fairly balanced for being a Level 10.
Dokutah
ah several days of not doing anything...lets start with this When this card is Special Summoned, flip and/or Set all other face-up cards on the field face-down. As long as this Special Summoned card is face-up, cards that were face-up on the field while cannot be activated or fliped face-up (except during the Battle Phase). besides possible wording fixes (since i'm not that good with grammar) its hard to retrieve and its special summon restricted effect of turning anything face down and prevent it to activate except during damage step is balance because there simply not many deck out there that abuse flip-effect...but also it can be Special Summoned by anything... which adding flexibility. Two things: When monsters are flipped face-down, is that in defense position? I would assume so, but just to make sure ....and it crossed my mind that you could modified the effect by adding "Darkness Approaches" flavor When this card is Special Summoned, flip and/or Set all other face-up cards on the field face-down but do not change the battle position of monster(s) flipped face-down by this effect. As long as this Special Summoned card is face-up, cards that were face-up on the field while cannot be activated or fliped face-up (except during the Battle Phase). aside adding unique flavor... with this your opponent has less option to destroy your set monster... since most of "face-down destroyer" is specifically need the monster to be in face-down and/or defense position NOT face-down attack position (something you must see in dueling before you die LOL)
Marco Polo
Thanks for the feedback. :-) done some text fixes to clarify what the effect means. discuss? I still haven't thought of ways this card can be Special Summoned with, except like Soul Charge or Call of the Haunted?
