Magical Spring

Recommended Posts

Mostly because of Noble Knights, not Qliphort.

I was kinda trying to figure out why you'd want to use this against Qliphort, anyways. Why on earth would you want to protect Tool instead of just siding more hate...?

Makes more sense against Knights, though, especially considering it can ruin Medraut -> Borz' day.

Works against DDs as well, actually, and they're looking like they'll be pretty strong (unless they chain a Lease Laundering, ofc). It's not a TERRIBLE card, really, if you assume you're chaining it to something, at minimum you're getting a Dark World Dealings that's only working for you. Sure, that last effect is annoying, but not too hard to play around.

But this begs 2 Questions:

1. Why are DDs playing Lease Laundering?

2. Why, like Qliphorts, are you not gong balls to the wall to kill their covenants?

1. Might as well get advantage when they inevitably try to MST your Covenants and that rare occassion where you can't get out Leo and the burn is going to kill you. It's also fairly useful when chained to something that's going to destroy your Temujin, since you can just grab it right back.

2. This point is pretty legitimate, but you're not always going to have something that can pop them. I'm not saying this is main-worthy, though. Just a possible side option.

It's really not optimal. It's not a bad card, but you can easily run better non-situational cards.

But if you're siding this you can side more removal =x

1. IN a format where Exciton and Black Rose are so easy to make, I can think of worse ideas than to tech one copy.

2. Because if your deck can OTK, it's worth getting the draw off. And only one Covenant does anything on your turn anyway.

Is it a great move? No. But it's not mind-numbingly bad.

1. Not really. Black Rose and Exciton aren't even that good right now, so that's not a strong point. Especially when you can just run more backrow/thinning in its place. I can't find room for the trap Pseudo-varice thing, much less Lease Laundering.

2. that... has nothing to do with anything, I was saying magical spring

It's not an optimal moe in the least when there are better in-theme cards to tech before LL.
