Ancient Pixie Field Spell

Recommended Posts

The 500 damage per Xyz from Sargasso is not going to stop anyone from Xyz Summoning. Most of the time, people would just shrug off the burn as they continue their plays.

Ancient Pixie Dragon's complete material flexibility allows nearly any Deck with LV7 Synchro capability and some Field Spell reliance to run it. Geartown tends to synergize well with APD's effects as you'd want to purposely destroy it and activate another copy to get the free Special Summon (and a draw). Destruction-resistant Field Spells like Endymion also means you get more opportunities to trigger APD's effect over time.

But you see, each time an Xyz is summoned, you draw a card. Then, during the End Phase you draw another card, and when each of these effects happen you also do burn damage.

I don't think you understand APD's wording.

"After resolving a Field Spell Card that was activated during your turn: Draw 1 card."

This "resolving" only triggers once you successfully activate a Field Spell - i.e. place it on the field, un-negated. Any further activated effects that happen after you have the Field Spell in place are not considered as "resolving the card", but rather "resolving the effects of the card". Two very different things.

If only Ancient Pixie worked like that...

Black Garden would be hilarious.
