I think getting a set structure's worth getting down. 400 cards, we need a decent rarity distribution. And figure out how many of those cards aren't monocoloured cards. Minus, what, 15, basic lands, there's roughly a 20:16:10:3 ratio.

So, I make that, roughly:

- 155 commons
- 125 uncommons
- 80 rares
- 25 mythics

Sounds good to me.

7 Planeswalkers perhaps?

7 planeswalkers, 5 mono, 2 gold, sounds good. This is actually a really good starting point: a Constructed format usually has about that many archetypes. 1 planeswalker, 1 archetype, and then people can fight over what's what.

Edit: And, yeah, I think planeswalkers and gold are good here. There's not much you can do otherwise.

- 155 commons (28 per color, 10 gold, 3 artifacts, 2 other lands)
- 125 uncommons (20 per color, 10 gold, 10 dual lands, 3 artifacts, 2 other lands)
- 80 rares (11 per color, 10 gold, 10 dual lands, 3 artifacts, 2 other lands)
- 25 mythics (3 per color, 10 gold)
- 15 basics (3 per color)

We'll eventually update the skeleton with more information. At the moment, I've assigned spaces for the dual lands and the 5 mythic mono planeswalkers. The rest's up in the air.

Ok, I wanna voice my opinion here.

We're jumping at this off the bat and trying too hard. We're making forums and shit, but getting this nowhere. MTG design is...delicate and graceful. Structure of the set, New World Order, limited...it's an art. We need to go slowly, from the sole bottom to the top, step by step.

I agree with you completely. The reason for the forum is to keep everything organized. In my past experience with CCGs having a separate forum helps the flow long term. I agree with the needing to go slowly. Which is why I've stated that any submitted cards will go through rigorous editing before being finalized.

There is actually a step below to that...Which implies establishing some design guidelines based on what we pretend to implement colorwise and themewise...I mean we must stablish how the color identity will work for our CCG, which concepts can we base our cards of, and more or less sort the complexity of effects aviable for each so we can have the less rarity Bumps/downs as posible.

Summary: We need to stablish our balance point so we can play as close as posible to it.
