Fusion X. Denver
I am in 4 right now and the stress is killing me. I'm about to go off to 2 separate meetings in a row with a presentation tomorrow, a team paper to finish that night, and you get the point. One I'm the driving force in, another I'm basically bumming on, and two I still need to start. Group projects are usually okay for me, just not used to being in so many at once. Anyways, what have your group projects been like, YCM?
goddamnit names are a pain
My group projects? You mean me doing all of the work? Heh, joking. Typically, they've gone ok, I suppose. I end up having to do more of the work, most of the time. And that's ok at times, but there are other times when you just can't get people to do s***. And the teacher gives zero f***s. It is what it is. Looking back on it, my more recent ones have gone well, but the earlier ones did not. Protip: When you can do a project alone, do it alone. Aix
I find I either do 90% of the work or 10%. Mostly 90%. There is no in between. (I'm exaggerating, but still)
goddamnit names are a pain
I find I either do 90% of the work or 10%. There is no in between. Yeah. Occasionally you get the person who loves to do everything. And honestly, at that rare, rare point…who am I to object?
evilfusion
I despise group projects. Several classes in college I've had to retake because of a near-inability to function productively in group projects. For starters, I'm uncomfortable collaborating with people, and am unlikely to take the initiative, so a lot of it boils down to "just tell me what to get done". Mixed with my natural procrastination tendencies and sporadic interest in any task, they are rarely successful on my end. Also, I don't like to work in close proximity with other people, as it makes me feel self-conscious and unproductive, but if I'm not around other people, I'm easily distracted and unproductive. Sigh...
Flash Flyer - Sakura
For labs, it's mandatory so either I work in a group or I have to do it myself, and they're hard as hell. (Then again, some of my lab partners are a bit pushy + aren't people I really want to be around; considering they're 21+ and smoking in class) Probably will end up doing it for CEE classes when I get there. High school had a few of them; I end up doing most of the work.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
I often was able to convince the teachers to let me work on my own. On things I had to do groups I basically just did my part. Nothing special. I wasn't a loner or anything, people just tended not to notice me unless I spoke up, and I never spoke up. Makο
I find I either do 90% of the work or 10%. Mostly 90%. There is no in between. (I'm exaggerating, but still) This is pretty accurate tbh

Thar
I absolutely HATE group projects. I'm in one right now with a group of 6 working on a presentation for a service project. I volunteered to put it together, and the plan was that they'd send me the information and I put it in a PowerPoint. The presentation is due on Thursday and I have NOTHING. The sad thing is that I was in the only group who wasn't taking the project seriously.

Thar
lol group projects *has to do all the work because everyone else is a lazy dumbass* Basically this. For example: The project's due tomorrow, and I've only gotten one contribution. ONE. Not only that, but there's like NOTHING to work off of. Also, the entire class time yesterday was supposed to be groups collaborating. My group? Just sat there, without saying a word, occasionally turning to me and saying, "you got this, right?" I'm like actually tempted to NOT do it just to get them all a bad grade.
