Posted December 6, 2014 Report Share Posted December 6, 2014 As long as this card remains face-up on the field, increase the ATK of all EARTH monsters by 500 points and decrease the ATK of all WIND monsters by 400 points.FULL AWARE OF THE FACT THIS WOULD BE COMPETING WITH CARDS LIKE WIND-UP CAT/CURRANTOSA'Course, this doesn't need to be Summoned by a Beast, and this card's effect is always active(owait, that doesn't matter in Cat's case).So lets say, for gits and shiggles, this was played in Tanuukis; Since you can totally play it here through things like One for One/Valleryfawn/Uniflora(to an extent)/etc/everyfuckingcardthatsupportsTanuukisbecausewehavelike500ofthem/etc...Basically all of your Tokens from Number 64 are 500 stronger; This is an amusing detail because this would mean you are always going to run over things with your Tokens.OBVIOUSLY YOU COULD PLAY GAIA POWER/etc, but Gaia can't double as random fodder for a Naturia Beast play, if you went with that, and Gaia doesn't have Fawn/Call/etc going for itself.I guess I'm just trying to say this could be a silly, 1-off, tech in an already silly deck.Or at least, on paper.Discuss. Wolf Link, as well as 'regular' Link, wear earrings. The fact that this card existed before that game is only a small detail. [spoiler="Picture"] [/spoiler] But back on topic. This card is a Level 1 monster, so it cannot be used as a Xyz Material for "Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu". Also summoning it with "Obedience Schooled" negates its effect, so you either have to Normal Summon it, or use a different effect to get it on the field; both of them are better served for other monsters. So outside the usage with "Kagemusha Raccoon Tokens" it does not seem to do anything relevant. "Poisonous Winds" serves the anti-WIND meta effect better: it not only lowers their ATK by 500 (rather than 400), but they cannot be Special Summoned either. Trebuchet MS Posted December 6, 2014 Report Share Posted December 6, 2014 This was a part of the infamous Rescue Cat OTK back in the day, involving fielding 3 of these to grant a pretty neat 1500 ATK boost to usually-Gyaku-Gire-Panda for colossal damage to the opponent. Not to mention that each one will have 1800 ATK by themselves, serving as cleanup afterwards. Wonder how well it would run at this point in time.
