YCM GPT Match 6-1

Before anyone calls bullshit on this match for being a repeat of earlier things, RNG wanted to see this, so that's what you're getting right now.

(I had no hand in it, whatsoever)

 

Also know that Arcanine's in here too, so things will be different.

How much, we'll have to see.

 

 

At least one of them will end up going to the finals, and competing against one of the two V's; the others will be eligible for nothing less than 4th

Which one will depend on the votes after time's up.

Well, you're lucky/unlucky that one of your nominations is going to the finals. (Unlucky in that, no chance of two going through, basically)

Hmm. Arcanine I like the least of all five competitors so no.

So basically again Xerneas versus Latios, so voting Xerneas again. ^^

Maybe I should vote who I think Vaporeon would have a best chance against but I would rather vote whoever I like most regardless of circumstance.

It's a double-edged sword here; hell it's been like that for me since Round 4 (or should've been).

One goes to the finals (guaranteed), but the other two have to fight for bronze; which isn't bad.

 

If we get another tie (and let's see how that ends up, should it occur), then both of them end up in the finals, and it becomes a 3-way.

 

 

As much as I want to vote Arcanine, despite not using him lately, I still have to give it to my Eon for the time being.

Though I can just change my vote for either or, in case one of them really needs that push.

 

I love all of them around the same; now usage is factoring in who I'm going for.

(At least I found my X cartridge with original Xerneas; my ORAS one has a Xerneas from some guy named shofu [I've heard his name a few times in Smogon, haven't I?])

I can't believe this happened again, I was right to inb4 it. The RNG goddess must want to see one of the legendaries die.

 

Anyway, Xerneas is on my kill list, so I'm essentially treating it as Arcanine vs Latios and since I like Latios more, he gets my vote.

Basically had the thing randomize on lists mode; 6-1 would be the 3-way (which you see here) and 6-2 is the standard 1v1.

By chance, that's how things ended up.

 

Remember what I noted at the top of the post; RNG wanted to see this, not me.

As much as I'd want to see one of my nominations go to the final round, I have enough honor to let things run their course.

 

If you want anything, go yell at the RNG.

Anyway, surprisingly that Arcanine got a ton of votes while I was sleeping.

Right now, he and Latios lead; though Xerneas is only a vote behind in this match.

Not sure honestly...ugh. Latios is pretty effing badass, Xerneas is awe-inspiring, and Arcanine is awesome.

 

Before the new mega, I probably would've chosen Latios...but I don't really like the new mega. Maybe when I see it in action it'll be cooler, but for now Xerneas takes the cake in my book.

 

(I'd completely forgotten about the new mega till I saw a comic about it yesterday, wow)

I'm still pissed at Gamefreak that they were lazy in differentiating Mega Latias from her bro.

Also upset that Hot Topic doesn't carry the Arca T-shirt I like; or anything with fully evolved ones.

 

At the moment, Latios/Xerneas are tied; though Arcanine is still winning.

If you've been keeping tabs on their personalities, Latios and Xerneas are both Japanese descent (Xerneas uses formal language, Latios is male-oriented; duh) and Arcanine is Argentine Spanish.

Hadn't been keeping track, though that's pretty cool. Would've taken Arcanine for Chinese though. ;) (bad joke is bad)

Arcanine is based on the Chinese lion dogs to an extent, so yeah that might've worked.

Just keep in mind that it's only for this tournament; they don't really have an ethnicity.

 

Plus, I don't speak Chinese and Google Translate sucks half the time.

Arca's lines are probably more accurate, since I am more/less fluent in Spanish at this point (though I have some doubts about speaking, but off-topic)

5-4-6 this was was really close too. I guess Arcanine really made the difference.

I'm just saying the current score in case it changes before this can be locked.

I could screenshot it but I'd hope my word is trustworthy in this case.

After a day or so, polls are usually dead.

But indeed, both of my legends die this round against Arcanine.

 

So, it appears that the Spaniard will be facing against Vaporeon in the finals (I've not determined a proper ethnicity for them, but you can think one up)

While I'm upset that I lost this battle, I'm happy that my loss was against you and Xerneas.

In my defense, I've brought glory in the name of dragons and Psychics. Latias's spirit will be happy I advanced to the semifinals.

 

Now go, fight and bring honor to our master!

While I have forgiven Vaporeon somewhat, my nominations haven't just yet.
