evilfusion
It's almost funny how RRs are getting support that the anime hasn't showcased in the slightest. It reminds me a bit of how Fluffals have more members in RL than Sora ever actually used (although he has also shown off more Edge Imps and Sheep), and there's also Frightfur Wolf/Tiger that never got used. Timeline15
YES!!!! THEY HAVE MAIN DECK MONSTERS!!! Anyway, Revolution falcon certainly got better didn't it? Assuming I'm right in thinking that the (1) and (2) effects can be active at the same time. Not sure why all the new main deck cards are lanius (had to look them up, had never heard of the bird) but they seem very useful. Blaze falcon needing an xyz material is a slight bummer, but it still looks very useable, especially since mimicry lanius now lets you boost the raptors to level 5. EDIT: Can we also take a minute to address the fact that "Brave claw Revolution" is the coolest attack name ever?
heraldry_lord
While I'm glad the archetype finally has more Main Deck members, three things bother me about them: 1.) They're all laniuses; if it weren't for Strix, this wouldn't bother me. 2.) Mimicry Lanius doesn't mimic anything; when I first saw its name, I expected it to have a copy effect of some kind. 3.) Impale Lanius doesn't have piercing, despite his name, first effect and art asking for it.

heraldry_lord
Show me what card can make it your turn and your opponent's turn at the same time. He's talking about the (1) and (2) effects of Revolution Falcon (not Force) being active at the same time; that is, he can detach to attack everything, and he can drop Special Summoned monsters' ATK to 0 while he's attacking everything. evilfusion
Right. Revolution Falcon has 3 different effects. The first requires a detach, and can attack all opposing monsters once. The second activates whenever it battles an SSed monster and drops their stats to 0. The third only applies if you have an RR Xyz as Material, and lets it detach 1 to half-Volcasaurus an opponent's monster. Unlike the anime, this seems to be an Ignition Effect, rather than an on-Summon effect.

Derp. Must read better. But yeah, of course they work. Why wouldn't it?
Timeline15
IDK, I wasn't really around for the wording change when monsters started having numbered effects, so I was unsure how it worked. :/ Glad the card works the way I thought it did though. Blake
Cards to consider atm: Harpie Harpist- searches your best RRs And has further synergy. Can be dead in theory, though. Armageddon Knight: It's a fucking Stratos Kagetokage- Strix and King of the Feral Imps are both generic, meaning This deck can work like Gadgets in addition to BW/Constellars-y plays. Also DARK. Blake
Don't forget Unicorn Beacon, by decree of Shun himself. -1ing to reuse Mimicry doesn't seem worth it. You could Snatch Steal + DDR + Hidden Armory, but the deck likes normal summoning.

~Faytl~
I really like these cards, and it's nice to see a strategy semi-built around Rank-Ups that isn't awful and doesn't seem inconsistant. The fact they have their own archetype-specific Rank Up spell helps, of course, ESPECIALLY since it's a quick-play that screws over commonly-used Xyz monsters like 101 and Castel, which every deck that uses 2 or more level 4s runs. Impale Lanius doesn't have piercing, despite his name, first effect and art asking for it.Probably has to do with the fact that they are based on shrikes (from the genus "Lanius"). Some species of shrike practice a behavior where they impale prey they capture on thorny trees and bushes to store them for later eating (hence "Impale Lanius"). I'm not a ornithologist, so I can't say whether there are species of shrike that practice mimicry (thus inspiring "Mimicry Lanius"), but it's definitely possible. You're completely missing the point of why I made that post; I know (or at least had a good idea of) what they are and what their names mean, but their effects seem to miss certain features that emulate what they do, which is what I was talking about. If Mimicry's name is represented by the fact all the birds change their Levels when it does, and/or the fact that it essentially becomes another Raidraptor when it dies, then that's some serious subtlety, and the latter especially would be reaching on my part. Impale is more obvious, but it would have been nice if it also had piercing, since this sort of thing is what piercing often alludes to.
JadenxAtemYAOI
Force Strix has fantastic synergy with Blackwings. Hopefully the Dark winged beast support continues along with the Raid Raptors.
~ P O L A R I S ~
I predict the next Shun duel as this: Me: Come on, Shun, use Impale or Mimicry; even Force Strix would be better than just-- Shun: I spam 3 Vanishing Lanius and overlay them into Rise Falcon. Me: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! He's like 4-0 by just doing this. xD Effect monsters are Laniuses, Xyz monsters are Falcons, and the Synchro Raidraptors used by Shun's Sync-dimension counterpart will be Herons. Would be rad, anyway. Oh, and I'd like to share this upcoming card revealed in a prophetic YouTube comment: Rank 420 Raidraptor Blaze-It Falcon
