Konami using the meta to stimulate the DT story?

Recommended Posts

So just a while ago, with DUEA - construct and winda were the some of the most fearsome cards in the game. At the same time - they played main villains at DT's story of the time, and proportionally held the upper hand in the actual game.
The DT story has been advancing and the super alien war machine qlis came out. Again, main villain of the time is top deck in the tournaments.
Next the good guys make a comback, and so nekroz, are current meta kings.

Meanwhile, infernoids were gathering support but failed to make any notable presence - until the main villain shifted again and Tierra was revealed.
Right now, Tierra is like the frieza of the DP plot and we get crazy Infernoid support accordingly to demonstrate that ingame.

Not sure how much sense this makes but it made me think a little if there's hope for any over the top zefra support around the corner to demonstrate how they supposedly wreck tierra & all.
It's like some new clever way to have us get involved personally with the story so discuss this, or anything related.

It really does seem like it at the moment. but it kind of makes me sad that ritual beasts never made much of a splash in the top meta.

I'd like to see DT as a video game if anything instead of the meta, or even make it a VN really, but imagine controlling trishula, or fighting it, it would be glorious.

They win all their games on time. Or so I've heard...

If Konami really wants the meta to follow the story though, it would basically turn out to be Tierra (Infernoids) vs. Sophia (Necloth).
