Does this work with parasite paracide? If so, I guess ye olde parasite paracide + insect barrier combo is somewhat more viable?

It's redundant with Paracide. There's probably a dumb alternate win condition by giving someone a Flying "C" that they can't remove.

Actually, this card was used to abuse the effect of Insect Princess to be precise. Also, it wouldn't work with Parasite Paracide because it needs to go through its entire ridiculous effect to turn  your opponent's monsters into Insects.

so evil. . . . . . .

It's a pretty cool card IMO, being a field spell is interesting as it is searchable and also by that wording I presume you could just activate a different field spell to remove this and get your monsters back, or MST it in your opponent's turn, that could be fun.

 

As for what monsters would work well with it, there is Howling Insect and those other insect-type searchers that you could give control of with this card, then destroy in battle and get to search cards.
