Star Seraph Scepter & Sovereignity

Recommended Posts

That's the thing, I don't think it's going to be.
The "ruling" that allows Igknights to use Key Beetle is so clearly abusive and against the intent of the cards that there's no way they could allow it to stand.

It's solely due to this complete bullshit that Armageddon and Zephyros are being hyped and/or decried as broken, despite to my knowledge having done relatively nothing for several formats.

Don't use a deck that functions on nothing other than abuse of the rules and then turn around and cry foul at Deltatheros, who makes perfect sense. It's absurdly hypocritical.

I'm actually not sure why you're attacking Black when he's using all the information granted to him to figure out the optimal way to play one of the decks projected to be a top tier deck. Even still, there was no mention of neither ArKnight nor Zeph until you directed an out of place ad hominem at Black. Even if Igknight and more specifically, the Key Beetle combo, does abuse a loophole in the rules, how is that any of Black's fault? He's just using what Konami have given us to judge the card. I doubt Black feels that Key Beetle should exist in it's current state, without even asking him. Bringing examples of other botched rulings doesn't really resolve the fact you seemingly attacked Black for very little reason. The deck that Black uses has nothing to do with his opinion on the game. I used Infernity for 2 years and admit they were absurdly degenerate and shouldn't have existed, yet I loved them.

What's to stop Black doing the same with Igknight?

If Konami lets it stand then I'll probably spend the format taking up Vanguard instead.
I can't wait to see how big of a trainwreck they made the game after they came up with Legion. What could they come up with next?

Again, this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. If you are just going to puff up smoke and say you're quitting, throw ad hominems at people and supposedly move to Vanguard, just do it. As for your comment on Legion, the game currently has one of the most diverse formats it's ever had, the large majority of clans are viable and there are a lot of tier 2/undermeta decks right now. It doesn't make much sense to say you are going to play X game then say X is a trainwreck for Y reason.

OT: Finally, we're getting these things. I've been pretty excited to play these. As other people have mentioned, it's not exactly the best engine right now, but I still feel Seraphknight is a decent budget deck, also quite enjoyable. It's always nice to get exclusives released here, especially ones that may have an impact on the game in the near future.

It has nothing to do with ruling abuse.

The entire argument starts from Black's comment refarding the engine not being consistent enough atm, then Expelsword replying to it while mentioning Armaknight, and it all went downhill from there.

The next mentions of ArmaKnight, Igknight, or anything that continues that topic will be infracted on the spot. Don't continue it, please.

Let's return to discuss the cards and its applications or anything, shall we?

Surely.

So I gave those a whirl in Tellarknights, and...I really didn't notice much difference. The search power and consistency they have is already so huge that those 6, even though inconsistent, don't do a lot to make the deck worse, at least from my initial testing. I could easily make plays while sitting on a single Scepter in my hand, and then when I drew the Sovereignity, it was a gamechanger. And don't get me started if you open those.

If the deck's base is already consistent, it should be fine. Chances are that it's not the entire 40 cards that makes the deck work fluently, so if you can find 6 cards to cut (probably just a few spells and traps, maybe some cute monsters) high chance is that adding those will add a lot of power to the deck. My 2 cents at least.

It add redudancy to the deck, and it's not really a bad thing since it just gives you more ways to summon Delteros as economically as possible. You only give up maybe a few trap slots and some copies of the more niche Tellars for these two anyway.

My biggest issue about these in Tellars is simply how these just don't really give actual new things to the deck, just more power in what they already do. Back there in OCG Seraph Tellars have their strong Shock opening. But even then they still become less favorable compared to Seraph Shaddolls and Seraph Heroes when people learned that the two can do more things than TKs.

It's just...I don't think Seraphs will suddenly make Tellars viable on their own, or be the reason of their resurgence. Their flaws didn't really get helped with these.

Rank X Spam is just an inherently counterable deck design, that's their real problem.

They'll always be able to sneak in wins thanks to their counter-all and Honest though.

That's honestly the most petty and ridiculous argument I've seen in a while.
