Spinny
Hi guys,http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20141027134243/yugioh/images/thumb/1/14/BlackGarden-LC5D-EN-ScR-1E.png/300px-BlackGarden-LC5D-EN-ScR-1E.png If a monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned, except by the effect of "Black Garden": Halve its ATK, also you Special Summon 1 "Rose Token" (Plant-Type/DARK/Level 2/ATK 800/DEF 800) to its controller's opponent's side of the field, in Attack Position. (This ATK loss remains even if this card leaves the field.) You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard with ATK equal to the total ATK of all Plant-Type monsters on the field; destroy this card and as many Plant-Type monsters on the field as possible, then if the total ATK the destroyed monsters had on the field is equal to that target's ATK, Special Summon that target. So, my thought was that this would be a really nice tech In raidraptors because of the three material monster they have, summon 3 RRs and the xyz, they have 4 token, the xyz gains 3200 attack so is on 3250, and deals 2450 x4 so... Yeah. Also makes impale lanius' effect more viable because it always has something to run over, just a thought. Thoughts on the combo and the card in general? Blake
Rise Falcon only targets 1 and gains the ATK of 1 SS'd monster per turn, IRL.
Spinny
Rise Falcon only targets 1 and gains the ATK of 1 SS'd monster per turn, IRL. Wow, that sucks. Nice to know they made an already not very noteworthy card into complete garbage. Nice.
The Highlander
At least irl the boost is permanen and not only until the end phase, so he has at least a bit defence (funnily enough more than blaze falcon).
玄魔の王
I ran Into a guy using this with Performapal Swordfish. His combo was as follows: -Activate Garden -Normal Summon Friendonkey, revive Fish The combo ends up robbing all enemy monsters of 1800 ATK, since Fish triggers once for itself and once for Token. This is one of my favourite cards just because of gimmicks like this, I also like using revival gift with it on my opponents turn to lock them out of a lot of their spaces. ihop
wait Friendonkey is actually a viable card in something? I've been laughing at them and hiding them in opportune places for ages now
Blake
wait Friendonkey is actually a viable card in something? I've been laughing at them and hiding them in opportune places for ages now Friendonkey's one of the best performapals o-o I mean, Performapals are a silly pet deck, but they're a lot more competent than most other pet decks. I'd say only Raidraptors are more competent as a pet deck. More or less as competent as DD. Friendonkey sets off Pendulum Wizard, either when the game starts to set you up, or after you've Xyz'd. The deck's just an R4ing deck that uses the thinning and draw the Performapals provide to augment it. With cards like Cyber Dragon Infinity and Number S39: Utopia the Lightning, it's not like R4ing is weak. Performapals themselves also give you a lot of value for going for game due to the effects of some of the scales/monsters buffing your board all around, and another benefit to them (due to Partnaga in particular, though Silver Claw also helped) was that they just did not give a fuck about Vanity's. The Djinnlock was a bit harder to beat, given Decisive existing, but they have no trouble dealing with vanity's more often than not. I haven't updated my build to the new format, yet, but Friendonkey is most definitely a great card, in and of itself.
Progenitor
You can still OTK with black garden this way in RR. Your opponent just needs a monster with around 2750+ attack (assuming my math is correct) Granted that won't be the case all the time, but it also isn't unheard of. Also there are a variety of ways to further boost rise falcon's attack, as per this video (This was back when the archetype was literally just vanishing, the xyz monsters, and the 2 traps): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nruBE2RVW-w
DuelSpectre
Use this in Dragunities for Blood Mefist? Just a thought, and it makes Terraforming less dead.
Cool Girl
I feel like this card works only for plant monsters, but it still pretty good! Its effect can be really annoying to its opponent!
Miror B
I feel like this card works only for plant monsters, but it still pretty good! Its effect can be really annoying to its opponent! It's actually been used in anything BUT plants, since it's a great stun card and it's effect isnt' even specific to plants
