Second Being

Meant to make monsters requiring 2 non-Tuners easier to Summon, such as Mist Wurm, or for other high Level Synchros. Just for extra clarification, if you equip it to a Level 4 monster, and you have a Level 1 Tuner monster, you can Summon Mist Wurm by using those 2 only.

Equip only to a non-Tuner monster. You can treat it as 2 non-Tuner monsters if it is used for a Synchro Summon of a monster requiring 2 or more non-Tuner monsters (it is treated as being 2 monsters with the same Level). You can only control 1 "Second Being".

This actually sounds like a pretty good idea, but I honestly feel like it would be easier and have better clarification if it made a Token instead.

That way, the confusion on what exactly the card wording meant without you adding in that ruling would be a bit more clear, and you could easily have the Token have these properties, but have, like, 0 ATK and DEF. Since Tokens are mainly used for Synchros, that also makes a bit more sense as well.

Eh, that was never my intention with the card, there are already Token Summoners that copy the monster anyway.

I feel the card simply isn't good enough as it is. Perhaps also make it so you draw 1 if you use that targeted monster as synchro material? Then it could double as conditional upstart in synchro decks.

I dunno about that, Quasar Decks have enough drawing going on, this is meant to make you need less monsters anyway, so it cuts away the amount of cards needed to normally do such a thing. It requires a specific set-up to be the most effective, but since it's a Spell Card, it's easier to use than other Summon cards, and it cutting away a whole monster can be better than trying to get another monster on the field.

Ultimately, you are using the same number of cards in the end anyway. The spell simply compensates for a second monster. I do like the idea of something happening upon using it for a successful synchro summon. If not a draw, then maybe have the summoned synchro gain a temporary immunity or something?

Sometimes it will result in you using the same amount of cards, but you also have to remember that some cards have costs or specific activation conditions. All you need is a monster you can equip with, no more costs, no more weird activation conditions, it will make your life much easier instead of having to use a billion moves just to get out a powerful monster.

I for one really do not care about what Quasar decks do because it is the same plays every time and they would likely not benefit from this. If anything this could be a really good tech card for Nordics since they easily need the boost and this can get their monsters out more easily since they format in a 2/4/4 or 3/3/4 format, so they need this kinda boost. At least that is how I see it, as a boost to the lower tier decks that could use it like Scraps and Nordics
