Man Accidentally Kills His Girlfriend’s 18 Month Old Child Using WWE Finishers, WWE Issues Statement

PennLive.com has an article here about a 20 year old man named Brandon Scott Hoffman who killed his girlfriend’s child with a WWE finishing move. Hoffman told police he hit the Rock Bottom twice on the child and slammed him onto a bed. He then attempted The Last Ride and missed the bed and the boy’s head hit the floor which then caused him to become unresponsive.

 

WWE issued the following statement:

 

“There is no excuse for a 20-year-old grown man to assault an 18-month old child, no matter what,” said the WWE. Using a flimsy excuse about emulating a wrestling maneuver does not absolve Brandon Hoffman of this abhorrent crime. The death of Bryson Shoemaker is a tragedy, and WWE offers its condolences to the child’s mother, Sierra Shoemaker.”

Nobody is taking this seriously. But I can't say anything because as soon as I read the last ride joke, I was expecting (at the end of the paragraph break) a gif with Horatio from Miami Vice. There was even an imaginary "YEAAAH!"

On a serious note, I feel for the mother. I wonder if she will ever forgive him. Even WWE condemns this man, as if it were murder in the first degree... which it could be.

No way.  First degree murder is premeditated (at least in the USA).  This is just negligence.  Probably second degree.  

 

Normally with accidental deaths you could get away with homicide but this is way too idiotic.
