Lore: Must be Ritual Summoned using "Beacon of the Giants" and cannot be summoned by other ways. When this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

Lore: This card is used to Ritual Summon "Gogmagog, Lord of Giants". You must also tribute monsters whose total level stars equal 9 or more from your field or hand. When this card leaves the field: Increase your LP by 1500.

If there's anything that Shin Megami Tensei taught me, it's that a) video games can be a pain in the ass sometimes, and b) mythology is fun. The latter is where this card comes in. Gogmagog is kind of weird in its SMT design, but the original legend is what made me want to make a card that semi-accurately portrays its duty as a guardian. Feedback and suggestions are appreciated, etc., etc.

EDIT1: Gave Beacon of the Giants a secondary effect.

Compared to other Ritual monsters right now, *cough*cough*nekroz*cough*, this is a decent card. HOWEVER, considering cards from OTHER types, this card is an overwhelming beatstick. With the ability to deal pierce damage while attacking twice, this card can lead a push for victory against many duels. This card is also equally devastating to archetypes with horrible to decent defense like ghostrick or lavals. Don't be discouraged but this can be a great game changer.

Decent, huh? I could've sworn that I accidentally made it a bit too powerful. On the other hand, though, I'm pleased to hear that it can be a great game changer, at least. But either way, thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. ^^

It is questionable how it has 4000 DEF while it has 3200 ATK; Zeilgigas had 3200 ATK but 0 DEF. However, I would say this balances out with the fact that it can only be Ritual Summoned and can't be Summoned by other ways. There's also nothing defending it from card effects (Compulsory Evacuation Device, Dimensional Prison, Raigeki), so it's not overpowered. But as mentioned before, it could be game changer; similar to Daigusto Phoenix, but in terms of effects and ATK, at least 3x better than that Xyz.

Well, Reaper of the Cards had 1380 ATK and 1930 DEF, so...but with Gogmagog it's justified, considering it's a colossal rock giant that would most likely be difficult to harm. And, well, if I DID defend it from card effects, there's no telling how terrifying it might be.

Very simple beater. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Noticed you're very fond of "before your attack". There are several points in a turn which can qualify for "before your attack" since they take place before you even declare attacks. Do clarify what you're trying to mean for future card creations.

Ritual Spell is rather bland. It can afford to have a secondary effect that lets it still be useful after you Ritual Summon with it.

Thanks again for the feedback, Gadjiltron. ^^ I know I say that a lot, but it really does matter to me.

I made it a big effing beatstick because if I gave it a secondary effect regarding card effects targetting it, things might get a bit insane.

Well, the original game used "before your attack" a lot, too, so I kinda did it out of peer pressure.

Well, for the most part, Ritual Spells, especially early ones, just give you the Ritual monster you want and go home. I know the Gishki and Ritual Spell Cards have additional effects, but the only thing I probably could've done was make the ritual spell increase the defense of all face-up monsters under the player's control by, say, ~500 points or so.
