"When are Glads getting support that isn't complete doodoo?" If they were to do such, I can only hope that it's something along the lines of these. Gladiator Beast Colossus Rock/Fusion/Effect *6 EARTH ATK 1000 DEF 2800 "Gladiator Beast Hoplomus" + 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card can attack while in face-up Defense Position. Once per turn, if a "Gladiator Beast" monster(s) you control would be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effect, you can negate the activation of that card or effect and destroy it. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can return it to the Fusion Deck to Special Summon 2 "Gladiator Beast" monsters from your Deck, except "Gladiator Beast Hoplomus". Gladiator Beast Maestrios Fish/Fusion/Effect *5 WATER ATK 2100 DEF 1600 "Gladiator Beast Murmillo" + 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) When this card is Special Summoned, you can select 3 cards in either player's Graveyard. For each card, apply one of the following effects: - Place the card on the top of the owner's Deck - Banish the selected card. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can return it to the Fusion Deck to Special Summon 2 "Gladiator Beast" monsters from your Deck, except "Gladiator Beast Murmillo". Gladiator Beast Venatores Winged Beast/Fusion/Effect *6 WIND ATK 2600 DEF 1200 1 Winged-Beast "Gladiator Beast" monster + 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) While this card is face-up on the field, non-"Gladiator Beast" monsters on the field have their effects negated. Gladiator Beast Julius Winged Beast/Effect *4 DARK ATK 1800 DEF 1000 When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Gladiator Beast" monster, you can select 1 monster your opponent controls, return it to the owner's hand. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can return it to the Fusion Deck to Special Summon 2 "Gladiator Beast" monsters from your Deck, except "Gladiator Beast Julius". Gladiator Beast's Battle Rudius Equip Spell Equip only to a "Gladiator Beast" monster. Increase the ATK and DEF of the equipped monster by 300. You can send this card face-up card to the Graveyard to return the equipped monster to your Deck and then Special Summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck. The monster is treated as it was Special Summoned by the effect of a "Gladiator Beast" monster. When the equipped monster is returned from your side of the field to the Deck and this card is sent to the Graveyard, return this card to your hand. You can only activate the effect of "Gladiator Beast's Battle Rudius" once per turn. Gladiator Beast Battle Gate Normal Spell Activate while you control exactly 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster. Special Summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck in face-up Attack Position. Forceful Isolation Continuous Trap As long as this card remains face-up on the field, both players can only control 1 monster of a certain Attribute. Send all other monsters they control to the Graveyard. Gladiator Beast Battle Iaculum Normal Trap When your opponent Special Summons a monster and they control 2 or more monsters, while you control a "Gladiator Beast" monster, you can return 1 monster they control to the Deck. So the last one wasn't technically a Glad card, but it works pretty darn well against heavy archetype decks. It works like the opposite of Gozen or Rivalry, as now the opponent can only control 1 monster from a particular attribute. No spamming darks, lights or waters. I posted Rudius earlier, but it was deemed a bit UP'd, but it's basically a Test Tiger that doesn't completely and utterly suck, since it's recyclable. Added Battle Iaculum and Battle Gate. Gate basically adds much needed speed to the deck by making 1st turn fusions easier to accomplish, but keeping it from spamming hard since you can't have 2 or more glads. Iaculum basically acts as a means to bounce back boss monsters or with proper protection, getting floaters off the field without triggering their effect.
