That is the only charming thing about Frunk.

Thank you for vindicating the above stereotype (an excerpt from from my About Me).

 

In a no-doubt feeble attempt to set the record straight, I have disdain for J-Max as a human being, but that is separate from mine and Crab Helmet's actions several years ago. Put simply, J-Max broke a rule that is (or was, if the rules have changed) supposed to carry the penalty of a permanent ban from access to the forum. I was commissioned as a Moderator when I was made aware that this ban had not been properly administered, and, along with my superior Super Moderator Crab Helmet, took the necessary and appropriate action, as was my job to do so. I will now, again, quote my own About Me:

 

"Popular opinion - or rather, popular ignorance - reared its ugly head, though, and the decision was overturned. Frunk received a dishonourable discharge from his moderation duties amid backlash from a misguided staff and an increasingly puerile citizenry."

 

You, miscellaneous member whom joined in 2010, may not agree with my actions. You, along with others like Yin, may attempt to further sully my reputation as much as you like. You, Dae, may take any bedfellow you like, J-Max included. That is your right as a clear supporter of the victorious party.

 

I would like to believe, however, that, even though you clearly have the capacity to question my character, whether it be charming or not, you absolutely do not have any right to question it. You have no idea who I am, or what I did, or what the facts are. You are not relevant to the incident.

 

I'm embarrassed to have to stand up for myself, but I must, because there is nobody left here to do it for me. I can handle ignorant criticism. I will not cop unjust hatred.

When no one supports you, it usually is for a damn good reason. This is an internet forum, if someone disagrees with an action, no matter who the "victorious side" is, they'll say it.

I am not interested in garnering support for my actions. My actions in regards to this incident are indeed ancient history. I did not say that Dae et al. had to agree with my actions. I do believe my actions were correct, and I do believe that those who disagree are ignorant. That is my opinion, which, as I already stated, I and everyone else has a right to. It has always been, and will always remain, my opinion.

 

My latest comments relate to the attempted assassination of my character, which continues in earnest. It is unjust.

Hmm, well said I suppose. Though honestly the fact you feel you need to post defending said actions brings up the point that people are allowed to disagree vocally with the idea it was right as well. However I will point out that...well really I don't see what bothers you about that statement. I mean, people are gonna dislike you and at least they aren't being vicious or anything, they just are saying how they feel. I agree that if they do it constantly perhaps but there's actually very few instances of it, and usually it comes when the topic is...well, topical.

 

 

AHHHHAHAHAHA nice edit there mate, misquote indeed. Nah it's just how you come off as, that's all.

Turning serious for a moment, Frunk, the main issue is that you said you still believe your actions to be correct. Simply saying that acts as a defense.

 

Well, I suppose, but I only brought up my actions to provide context for those who actually don't know.

The thing is, you're saying you're still right which is an inherent defense. You can reply sure but you've been here a long time and should know that means people who disagree WILL say so.

And no, you come off this way based on what little I've seen. I don't judge anyone until I see them myself. You can ask Striker, Sakura, and several others who have had the masses against them. I don't judge unless I believe it for myself.

 

I have to say, though, that you're in Misc right now. You're in a place that has no anti-spam laws, so tread lightly about some things. For here is a place where both dreams and nightmares can come true, it's very possible that your words here will be treated as a joke by some, and made into a joke by others.

It's good to hear you've drawn your own conclusions. I've never shied away from my style as both a Moderator and Super Moderator. My reputation is built on being harsh, but people forget, or disagree, that I was also fair, or at least, very effective. Benevolence was never in my job description, but I believe I was anyway.

 

It's a lot easier to talk about my many failures as opposed to my successes, because that's all anyone remembers. That's all I remember, really, and all I talk about in my About Me, but I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks it's as simple as "Frunk was always an awful arsehole, and a terrible mod." No matter who was right and wrong in the J-Max episode, there's no denying the whole saga was a failure on the part of this site's staff as a whole, which includes myself and Crab Helmet, and should not omit the wider, reactionary moderator team at the time. There's plenty of blame to be shared around.

 

Indeed, I'm not so naïve that I think people would naturally agree with me and/or sympathise with me, based on one or two posts in this thread. I was actually counting on the fact that people would call me out in this thread, and give me more chances to reply. Joke or not, I'll always show my true colours, until I get bored and disappear again.
