1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card(s) on the field: You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard.

Discuss my husband, how he has fallen from grace over the years yet is still one of the most brilliant card designs Konami have ever made, how brilliant his other forms are, and how overall this card was the start of probably the best era of this game. We haven't had a topic on him for 6 months, that's completely criminal.

I remember people advocating for this card's banning. Saying that it can negate anything which means it's completely broken. But yeah with Compulse running around it isn't as much of a threat anymore as it used to be.

Gotta love that... 1 Compulse? o O

Card's still strong, but now there's so much in the Level 8 slot that there'll never be a period of time again where he is undisputed best. Especially since there are still arguments over whether the original or Spark is better

Scrap Dragon
Crimson Blader
Stardust Dragon
Stardust Spark Dragon
Hot Red Dragon Archfiend
Thought Ruler Archfiend
Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing (if running Oasis of Dragon Souls)
Explosive Dragoknight Igniter Prominence (Pseudo-Generic if Pendulums, which will be a real thing before too long)

There's a lot for both generic and pseudo-generic, not to mention themed cards like Void Ogre Dragon, Angel of Zera, and Valkyrus (qq), which have assorted summoning conditions (Zera is generic but shh) that are better over these options in certain places.

And sure, the Pseudo-Generics aren't generic, but they still factor towards the slots in decks that run them/tech them. Ignister, especially, tends to eat 2 slots because it's just so damn good, leaving 1-2 other 4 slots.

Stardust is still strong, it's just hard to find fucking space for everything you want to run. Being a Dragon does help it, though.

"I stated a card's effect and what it does to claim it's bad for game"
